anyone thinking of taking BYU + points? I have Cal -8 and have to say I'm not very impressed with them so far. Thinking of taking the points in 2h to avoid getting screwed.

I have a lot of respect for Tedford but I think tonight he is calling a poor game. 2 drives I remember CAL being stopped, CAL did 3 straight passing plays. (pass, pass, pass, punt) (pass, pass, pass, punt)

Why doesn't he pound the ball? I don't get it. Especially when he has a QB making only his 2nd start of year.

If CAL comes into the 2h with the mindset to RUN the ball, CAL should easily win by double digits. But BYU been stopping CAL when CAL tries to PASS the ball.

Mitch: Sorry, your seatbelt seems to be broken. What do you recommend I do?

Good one yipyip. Sorry, I thought this was a forum where people posted their thoughts. Or are you one of those puzzies who just sits by on the sidelines and criticizes other people's plays but doesn't have the stones to post his own? Don't worry Sparky, coach will put you in someday.

Cal obviously has an extreme rushing advantage. If they pound it I really think they will wear down BYU in the 2nd half. This is a tough spot. I could hedge and put $ back on BYU +3 and have a small chance to middle and 2 bets I can push on while winning the other. If I put $ on BYU and they lose by 7 I win that and push on my orginal. If they lose by 10, I win my original and push on that play. Hmmmmm

I am already on:

BYU ML +275
BYU +8
Over 58

All equally. For the second half, I am going to sit still as I tink BYU opens it up even more. If the penalties stop I think BYU can still win this and if they dont it goes over.

I think BYU has more heart and cares to win!! They seem like they want it more! Just my take!!

Why would you say that? What did you see that makes you think BYU has more heart and wants to win more?

I also agree w/ Scott. I have posted b4 but I really respect his opinion and think he is a good mind. If CAL runs it, watch out. But I still think BYU has a chance at the outright!!

I appreciate the feedback guys. I ended up taking BYU +3 (+110). Absolute worst-case scenario I lose about $20 in juice. I'll take it considering Cal didn't look too hot in the 1h to me... should've been tied at half.

Anybody know if books took more action with CAL or BYU?

If books took more action with CAL $$$, then why would they make BYU +3 and +160 ML 2h?

that touchdown right before the break makes for a difficult 2h to project. you can make a case that theres a lot of value in the 2h number with byu, but the way that td was scored can just suck the life out of a team. think its gonna hover right around 7 for the final. gonna be tight.

Sorry, wrote that b4 your comment. BYU just seems to have a different feel to me. Their reactions to plays makes me feel like they want it. Cal expects to win and seems to go ahead w/ the realization that will win. There is a panic in BYU to make things happen!!

Lee,

I know exactly what you're saying. I think BYU is showing more emotion because they are playing like the underdog. When they score or make a big play they're excited because they're hanging around and still in the game. Cal seems to look like they just expected to walk onto the field and win. Maybe that TD at the end of the half will pump them up and they'll show some signs of life, but I'm not going to assume that.
