One Cal Ripken Jr. The Hall of Fame shortstop, who spent his entire career 40-something miles north in Baltimore, interviewed for the Nationals vacancy two years ago...rumored this time around for the replacement job.

Cal to my knowledge has done no prior managing in any league on any level..

I could be mistaken but I highly doubt I missed the news where Cal was riding a bus from town to town..

This would not be a smart hire for Nats, they need a manager with experience not someone with zero managing experience.

I am just glad the Orioles have Buck so Cal's name does not constantly pop up.
