cal coach had to be paid a lot of money to get the game over tonight as he down 18 with 40 seconds to go and fouls and broadcast people wonder what the fuck he is doing. down 16 with 30 seconds left foul. down 14 with 20 seconds left foul. fbi needs to check this out as much worse than auburn was as he is rubbing it in the ncaa's face after getting blown out and saying to them win win 1 bet for my supporters or gamblers.
ncaa needs to change rules so team fouled gets foul shots and ball out of bounds when leading by more than 10 or more with shot clock off.
if 1 of these coaches can show me a 16, 14, 12, 10 or 8 point play in 1 possession will pay them 100,000.00.

I'm sure we'll be seein some shady stuff in the next couple of days as well on into the weekend......point shaving happens every night in basketball. That's my opinion.

if down over so many points and less that so many shot clock possessions, give the fouled team 5 shots to make 3 from the free throw line, and the ball out of bounds in the front court, second time it happens offending team loses a player on the court, 5 on 4 aka NHL, :mj07: should provide enough fan pressure and I am stupid factor to deter this ugly strategy.

In other words, yes it drives me crazy, too

Not quite on topic but I like what you say about the late game fouling and will take it a step further. The college game needs a 25 second shot clock.

I am so sick of this ridiculously long shot clock. It makes no sense. Nobody needs 35 seconds and then when you get late in games, teams have to foul over and over with MINUTES left.

You don't see that in the NBA. You play D and get possessions and you might see some fouls in the last minute or so.

Take out the retarded 5-second call and drop the shot clock to 25. Also, so sick of these off the ball fouls late in games, yet they have the "intentional foul" rule which is inconsistently enforced. All these late game fouls are intentional and is it really fair to just go hack-a-shaq the worst free throw shooter on the court w/o the ball with a minute left.

But if you don't act like its not intentional then they might get 2 shots and the ball. I love college basketball but there is a lot that needs to be changed. And I didn't watch it but agree, that sounds like point shaving to me on the total...

Have complained about teams fouling when they are down double digits for many of years. The coaches are just huge douches..... sometimes they even start hacking with 3 or 4 minutes to go .

NBA teams rarely ever foul at end of games unless its a 4+ pt game under 24 seconds left.

Like I say though, the main reason they don't foul is b/c there is a reasonable shot clock. The other team has to keep playing. Combine that with the fact that if you lose, your season is done, and you can see why there is much late game fouling in the tournament and even some reg season games.

But, like this one, it gets very ridiculous at times.

i love the high schoolers....errr....college players who are down 12 and hit a 3 pointer with 15 seconds left and run around pressing and fouling like they still have a fuking chance to win.
