I'm so lost on this story... who is soliciting money?
1 - John Bond and Kenny Rogers
2 - Kenny Rogers and 2 un-named middle men
3 - Mysterious Mobile booster
4 - Cecil Newton
Lots of smoke, but there are so many different stories and they keep changing.... hard not to be a little worried.
Very weak attempt by the AJC this morning doing a character piece on the Newtons. A for effort, F for FAIL.
IF there is a tape of these conversations with MSU recruiters saying it will take some $$$ and Cecil is on the tape, we're F-ed.
IF there is no such tape and it's just these recruiters word against ours, it's either find a paper trail from the money or GTFO and lets play ball.
Also, does anyone have a count on how many times "someone is about to drop a bomb" on the story? Jeeeeesus there have been so many claims about the end all be all of this story is coming out today blah blah blah. Out with it already. My head is not in the sand and I'm not wearing goggles, I just know that there hasn't been a single acknowledged FACT that proves Newton is guilty of anything at all. Until some cold hard evidence comes out, I will continue to have faith in our AD, coaches, president and compliance department doing their job prior to the start of the season.

Taking it out. ESPN is still a joke. One of their radio host, Ian Fitzsimmons out of Dallas, said Cam was going to be suspended, the said he didn't say it.

Yeah, I was listening and he didn't say Cam was suspended. It's some kid with a blog that said Ian said it.
Whew.... Cut down the noose just in time. Chizik had a presser 10 minutes ago saying 100% fact Newton will be playing on Saturday.
At this point, I'm not gonna say the whole story is a mud-slinging campaign anymore. I just hope we buried the bodies deep enough in the ground that it takes the investigation at least 2+ months to figure it out and we have a NC trophy by then.

Does this mean that Cam only gives us a 3.5 point advantage, if he isn't going to be suspened sholud we hit this line now if it is up at all the books. I think Auburn is still a touchdown better than Georgia with Trotter in, but then again how will the news affect the team.

This has moved way past ridiculousness, tweets coming out about possible suspension, then its not true, Vegas taking the game off the board due to some "Sharp" better taking Georgia, unnamed sources saying they heard Cam Newton talking on the phone about money. If I was an Auburn fan, I would be VERY nervous about this week's game. Way too many distractions IMHO to bring your "A" game.
