Schedule flip-flops, newton fairley and the oc gone. I would think that is a realistic prediction. The rest is me needling Woodson:)

@Clem, @ ark, @ s car, @ lsu, @ uga. That is what I call a tough road schedule for a new starter not named cam with a new oc, less fairley.

Did I mention they lose 7 defensive starters and 6 on offense- including 4 offensive lineman .

7 tough games, with 5 on the road, hangover from this year, turnover at key positions all over the field. I think 7-5 sounds about right. No hate, jmo

how do you think he will do in the NFL  you think he is a franchise quarterback or is he the next Jamarcus Russell?

just wondering what everyone thinks

:0corn

I think he will be the best player in the NFL within 4-5 years. He is better than any player I have seen in college over the past 20 years. :0corn

When Auburn hired Malzahn, I told a friend Auburn would be one of the best teams in the country within 4 years once Malzahn gets the players he wants for his system. That incredible system with SEC athletes would be unstoppable.

Malzahn is the genius and architect behind this team, not Chizik. Sure Newton is great, but its Malzahns system and plays.

Malzahn is hands down the best OC in football anywhere.

The only question to these answers is the infamous "Wonderlic" test. To those who do not know, the Wonderlic is basically an IQ test for NFL prospects given to them at the NFL Scouting Combine. The Wonderlic, to the competent reader, appears to be an easy test especially since one of the questions is "What is the 9th month of the year", which is multiple-choice (by the way, it's September). The Wonderlic is one of the more underrated "workouts" taken by players during the combine. In fact, some scouts say for the QB, it's the most important. There are 50 questions, you get 12 mintues to answer as many as you can. The lowest score is 0 (you get 1 point for your name), the average is around 21, and the highest is 50.

Ben Roethlisberger got a 25, Eli Manning got a 39 and Peyton Manning had a high grade as well.

Texas Longhorns QB Vince Young has said before that he was going to forego all workouts in the combine for his Pro Day workout. But he did the Wonderlic and recieved, ready for this? A 6, no your eyes aren't playing tricks on you, he scored a 6.

...............................................................

How can you trust someone to learn the playbook and think on your feet during a game when they score a 6 on this and you get 1 point for signing your name ?

Let me see what Mike Vick scored.

Pat McInally, a graduate of Harvard University is the only football player to record a confirmed perfect score of 50.[8] Ryan Fitzpatrick, also a Harvard graduate and currently a quarterback with the NFL Buffalo Bills, had also been rumored to have scored a perfect 50 points in only nine minutes.[9] However, Fitzpatrick denied this, saying that he had left at least one of the 50 answer spaces blank.[10] The Wall Street Journal later reported that Fitzpatrick's actual score was 48 but that Fitzpatrick's claim of completing the Wonderlic in only nine minutes was accurate (This report appeared in the September 30, 2005 edition of the WSJ in the Weekend Section). As of 2005, Free Agent wide receiver Kevin Curtis, a graduate of Utah State University, was reported to be tied with Fitzpatrick and Benjamin Watson of the Cleveland Browns as having scored a 48, the highest Wonderlic score of any active NFL player.[11] During the 2009 Combine NFL Network's Rich Eisen mentioned that Boston College graduate Mike Mamula, a 1995 draftee, scored a 49; USA Today has also reported on this claim.[12]
On the other hand, some high profile players have scored rather low on the test. Dan Marino and Vince Young both scored 16 on the test, though Vince Young scored a 6 on his first attempt.[13] Marcus Vick, brother of Michael Vick, scored 11. Michael himself scored a 20

A newton that understands he has to change his game and become more of a pocket passer that allows his feet to get him out of trouble will be fine in a few years.

A newton that thinks his college game is the answer to success in the NFL will make him a rich failure.

Being the best player in college really means nothing if your game doesnt translate to the pro's or if ALL the other intangibles arent present. Heres a look at the past Hiesman winners and where they were drafted. I would challenge anyone to show me how some of these were best at there position in there draft, much less a true impact player in the league. http://www.drafthistory.com/heisman/heisman.html
