"good football"

i think we can all but pencil in new england for the afc representative in the super bowl --- and i dont even think new england is all that great

the indy and kansas city defenses are absolute jokes.

i think theres something to be said for legitimately good offensive football where both offenses are just too good for the defenses to hold down.

but i just dont see it in this game.

guys arent even being touched through the first level of the defense.

can only hope that green bay/philly is a much more crisply played football game later on today

peyton manning on the road in cold weather? i have an indelible scoreboard image of 41-0 from last year. its still peyton manning, no matter what hes done the last few gms. he'll find a way to throw 3 or 4 INTs

I couldn't agree more. These defenses are horrible. I can't even stand watching this game. It's like watching the NBA. Turn it off and put it back on with 2 minutes left to see who wins. Scott

no punts, every pattern the colts run they are wide open..if they were this offensively powerhoused then they would have never lost a game...a good defense that hits hard can stop this offense...it has been done before

the defenses are bad...

the defenses are bad...

but,if you can`t appreciate what peyton manning did to denver last week and admittedly,a putrid chief`s defense this week, then i don`t know what to say.....it`s an unbelievable display....

now, hall runs one back for the chiefs....shame on dungy for kicking to hall.....this is the 3rd big run back this game....

granted,not a defensive clinic:D.....

but,it`s enjoyable....

i sense a shift in "mo" after that kickoff return....we`ll see...

I agree with ya big time , manning is possessed , he's in a zone, 3rd down conversions are killing this chief team, nothing can be worse for a chiefs fan

weasel:

we'll agree to disagree.

honestly, indy is just working an air skeleton drill on kansas city right now. manning hasnt really even had to make any "great throws". dont get me wrong, hes gotta make the correct reads. but at the same time, the chiefs look to be in a "permanent prevent defense". manning has gotta be laughing at these guys. no one within 5 yds of these receivers.

not good football imo

Gman i usually tend to agree with you, but I gotta go against you on this one...In my mind, NE's has been using the same clock control, low scoring, defensive drills over and over and Dungy and Peyton will find a way to beat the pats in their own game...Ive said it before and I say it again, its Peyton's year boys and he WILL get to the Super Bowl this year, and win it...A big statement but this is a BIG QB who I cannot seeing slowing down anytime soon...Everyone thought Denver found out how to beat Manning, with clock control and a solid running game, and Manning found a way to conquer this in the game that counted, the playoffs....Now New England controls the clock decently, but have NO strong running game and I honestly believe Peyton is determind enough right now to win at Foxboro...Just my bits and pieces

no way will the colts beat the patriots, and i don't even like the patriots...but they won't be beat by a one sided team..all offense and no defense.

Pats D didn't exactly slow the Colts offense down when the played earlier in the season. Granted it was at Indy, but they still allowed 34 points. I hardly think NE is a shoe-in next week.

i see your point....and i`m not actually disgreeing with you....all i`m saying is that this k.c. defense, while obviously full of more holes than than scarface`s rotting carcass, has played very well at home......

they are getting obliterated...much like denver last week....

a good deal of this was the k.c. defense....and a great deal of this is manning and the colts execution....ask denver....

but ,as i said, your point is taken....you don`t put these stats up without a willing defensive participant.....and k.c.`s "d",or lack thereof, appears more than willing....

as a matter of fact,i had already bet my first favorite in the playoffs laying -6 on the pats over the chiefs next week........still possible to hit my +4 on indy and have a great bet going next week....but it`s not looking likely that the chiefs will advance...

oh well...

i wish they`d post odds on whether k.c`s defensive coordinator doesn`t come back next year....but,i`d guess those odds are little rich for my blood...

best of luck,my man...

vyrus/hoops:

i can certainly respect your opposing opinions. and you guys do bring up valid points. i just think belichick v. manning is a mismatch. obviously bill doesnt put on the shoulder pads and helmet, but hes one of those guys that always comes up with great defensive schemes in the big games. i must concede your points about new englands offense. personally, i dont think the pats are a juggernaut and thats because their offense is pedestrian. as well as manning is playing, backing him in that environment is trouble imo. will be a chance for him to exorcise those demons though
