finally tried saint's way after not beating this thing for what seemed like forever. Anyway, I finally beat it a few times 
The game cheats sometimes though where the genie will raise his hand up to move, then he puts it back down without removing any pearls. Thanks for the base 2 refresher saint.

Thanks for the base 2 refresher saint.It only seems to work if you take four from the last row first like saint said. I tried different ways like taking four from the second row and get beat. Going first and taking four from the second row makes the columns even in base 2 math but I end up losing.
