I agree with the 2nd decision... not the first. In the first instance you are going up by 6 more than likely and forcing the other team to score a TD to take the lead from you. Neither team could really stop the other except for turnovers, and if OAKLAND gives up the TD to MINN and can't move the ball close enough for the DATE RAPE DRUG GUY to hit one, well you don't deserve to be in the pros. MINNY has the worst DEE in NFL if you ask me, ask the last three teams they played that ran up 1100 yards and 117 pts!
Stupid call... or should I say desperate call by a desperate coach. He was wrong when they got stopped, and got lucky when he got the turnover my MINN. THEN, at the end, he challenges the spot, which was obviously not made, and then goes for it again AFTER his kicker had already made the kick.... yeah, it sucks! Even at that juncture, I say kick the FG and make them go all way from the 20. Janakowski can KICK it into the stands easy... make MINNY go 80 for a TD, not 60 yards for a tying FG.... YOU make the point of having to go 95, :nono:.... he would only have to go about 60 yards and kick the FG... big difference. The FG there makes them score a TD... which they had failed to do most of the day.
WHY am I so pissed... because I hate seeing stupid calls from over-paid idiots called coaches. ANOTHER example... COACH TICE.
WHY not kick the FG there in the end with 4th and 5. NO matter what happens, you need at least 10 pts. Get the 3 and then go for onside. DO you really think it's easier to get the onside if you're down only 3 than 7????
NO... the other team is probably gonna be more relaxed up 7 than 3... jmo. Anyway, you get pts when you can, and THEN wait and see what happens.
BTW... reason for my vent:
Cost me like $2000 since I had a big play on MINN, and a Round Robin Parlay with MINN, MINN OVER, DEN UNDER, SEA UNDER and had three in, needing only MINN. I still made a little, but went for the HR after a debacle of an early day in NFL. Could have got me way up, and allowed me to hedge a great deal on the SUN NITE GAME. I have a live 8 teamer going for a few grand needing only NE OVER and SAN FRAN. Wanted to play with the man's money and play a nickel teaser with NE UNDER to PITT or something and see what happens.... I would love going into MNF with a potential 2500 payday and NO way to lose!!! Oh well... I'm done. My crying is over... back to work.
