they play better defense than jayhawks but can't match them on offense. i felt they could compete with providence but with an up-tempo jawhawk team they might be over-matched... taking a stab at +11.
any opinions?

If johnnyb likes Pacific, JCoverS likes Pacific, too!

Let me know if this is a final play or not, because I will gladly coat-tail a guy that knows his Big West hoops. I may still be caught in the glow of the nice ATS and ML victory Pacific gave to me on Friday, but I would gladly take a shot with the Tigers, again. After all, they are carrying the torch for the Big West, already proving with their win Friday, that the conference rightly deserved two bids. Poor Utah State! Gman has a good point that Kansas has been up and down, but IMO they have made significant strides as a team, of late. Add in that KC "home away from home" thing and I just don't know if UOP can hang here. I would love to think so, but I need more input on this one.

played pacific +6 1h, +11 for game and over 63 team total... what finally convinced me was that kansas is not a 100% healthy and that they have been held under 65 points numerous times this season... good luck jcovers.
p.s. pacific has won 16 in a row, that didn't hurt either...

I watched the whole Providence/Pacific game,..this is not your typical west coast team,..these guys play well as a team and are balanced on D and O

johnnyb, hope you don't mind if I coattail you here. IMO Big West will earn some more respect, here. UOP will play KU very tough from start to finish today. I am going to disregard the KC advantage for the Jayhawks and go with a solid Tiger team. Also, it is not inconceivable that KU may be looking past this team. Mark me down for 1 unit on each of the following:

Pacific +6 FH
Pacific +11 GM
Over 136.5 (if you think UOP gets over 63, then this seems logical to me)

Let's get these home johnnyb!

Good Luck to All,

Yeah, I saw it. It was better that you didn't have to sweat through that one. Kansas led by 11 well into the FH, but Pacific was able to weather the storm and get back to even with like a couple of minutes left. KU then pushed it back out to 4 and Langford missed a three that I swear was half way down at the buzzer. Whew!

Let's hope UOP can keep this going for us. Yango, Yango, Yango, Go UOP!

laugh all you want :fingerc:
pacific got to this game on their defense, kansas wasn't even a top 5 defensive team in their own league... easy to bash after the game!
get a clue and don't come in my threads again! ;142loser:
