Can Philly stop the Run????????

That is obviously the key question when betting the Falcons/ Eagles game. Everyone keeps talking about how the Eagles can stop the run because they only let up 3.5 ypc the second half of the season since Trotter started, but after reviewing the stats I see that 4 of those games were against Dallas/Wash whose rush offenses are average. Some of the other games were either blow outs or meaningless, either way I am not convince Philly can stop the run, therefore I feel this game will beat tight and Philly will likely get off to a slow start and win a tight one at the end. I can almost see the headlines already: It looked like philly was going to choke again, but then they snuck one out by a FG.

Bottomline-I'll take the Falcons plus the 5.5 or 6!

chekc the philly run defense at home - i bet the stats favor them more - its tough to run on the road will the noise and the jacked up defense. Atl is a godd running team though and they'll pick up some yards on the ground - put philly passing will put up points. i think phil wins by 7. GL

Eagles can and will stop the run, Trotter did make a difference, but he really brought the who deff together, bbc said it best atl gets yards by vick for the most part but you will have a lb spy on him and the field and cold will not help as deff will play closer to the line or db's because of cold and wind, they will shut vick down and win this game by 7-10 points. They might use kurse as the spy also and he can and will keep vick from getting out side if he is the spy and turns vick in and make him run into gut of eagles deff.

I don't care atl is not as good as rec shows not even close, they are more of a 10-6 type team who just got the wins.

Eagles will not let vick beat them with the legs.

I agree with Fletcher. I cant see the Eagles letting Vick beat them. I also cant see Warrick Dunn and VIck doing to well in the cold. I know that Vick played in the cold at Lambeau and it was cold at times when he played in college but this is a different story. For 1 Dunn hates the cold. 2.) Dunn and Vick are not straight ahead runners, with the field conditions declining throughout the game I dont see how Dunn or Vick do much on the ground. The only one on the team that might be able to run is Duckett because he primarily is a straight ahead runner but if is going to be their only weapon I think the eagles can find away to stop him. Was leary about this game all week but feel I have a good grasp on it now...Taken the Eagles and the under!

Bigger play on the under!

fellas..a lb spy on vick???? Like that is going to make a difference? Not saying Atl the right side but am saying if you think a lb spying on Vick is reason for taking the eagles - unless that lb can run a 4.2 40 - there is not much substance to that reasoning...

EZ I think you should know me a little better then that, to think the only reason I have Philly and hit the under at 37.5 posted on my free pick 3 days ago, I put way more work into work ups then just because I gave one example of what they will do to try and contain Vick. it's not like I throw darts out here to make my living in Vegas. I put lot of time and work in so no that is not the only reason , just one of at least 7 things I used on my work up, then used the dart board:D

I seen Vick last week against a blistering fast RAM team...and what really bothers me about Michael Vick is thathe is unconventional in that if there is an opening he is gone like chain lightning.

EAGLES are obviously the better defense than The Rams......

BUT LET ME SAY THIS LOUD AND CLEAR.....THE EAGLES BETTER HOLD THAT BALL FOR LONG DRIVES. And keep that VICK VAPO RUB and Krumpler and WARWICK et all of that field.

ONE MISTAKE BY THE EAGLES will be their demise.

THE TOTAL is now 37......well The Eagles better come up with 23 of them or they aint making it to Jaxonville!

GOOD LUCK ALL

That 4.2 40 turns into a 5.5 plod fest once the conditions go outside.

See that's the thing. You don't have to catch hime or even tacke hi. You just have to spread him along the lone of scrimmage and take away his running lanes. kearse has enough speed to stop Vick from making the BIG run...he has the speed to take the right angles of pursuit.
