Yea because they are going to play next week in the playoffs and they want to secure the 3 seed. Hats off to Belichik for playing his players and wanting them sharp for the playoffs.
This is a my deal......Belichik has repeatedly through out his coaching career run up scores and played his starters while doing so..
If it was his second stringers I'd respect that....Playing to impress for a job is OK in my book....In his undefeated season T.Brady was still taking 5 step drops Vs the Redskins in the 4th qtr with a 40 something point lead.....Thats what I mean by a classless bum:toast:
Tulah, First off let me say I read and agree with just about all of your posts as I do now about Belichik. I just dont agree him playing his starters today adds to that assesment. I do however agree 100% with all your points.

I can see playing starters if it meant getting a bye week like what Vikes are playing for today but 3 or 4 seed.

Kegray, Welker got hurt making a cut without any contact ever happening. Yea obviously that doesnt happen if he is sitting on the sidelines but by the same token im sure he is in there for timing and rhythm reasons going into a playoff game next week.
They made a good point on the Pats post game show about why Brady may have been in game.
If they know Welker is gone, Brady and Julian Edelman may have been working on their timing...

Brady was only going to play first quarter first 1/2, once Welker was lost for season, they wanted to give Brady some reps with Julian Edelman in the slot, seeing as he will be playing it for remainder of season.
