Either I can't make a point or you can't understand.

Let me try one last time:

The Pac-10 stunk this year.

The Big East stunk thie year.

The Pac-10 had 1 great team, 4 average teams and 5 weaklings.

The Big East had 3 great teams, 1 average team, and 8 weaklings.

Enough about the Big East as a conference being "under-rated" "great" "better than we thought" etc....THE 4 TEAMS LEFT are great and were underrated by the "experts" not the conference and SHOULD be where they are. As for Uconn beating Stanford...UCONN was favored and I KNEW they would beat Stanford, Stanford wasn't that good this year.

And if you think that Arizona is soft/weak/lucky/etc... because of the game vs Gonzaga, your wrong. The Zags ARE one of the best teams/programs in the country, the east coast doesn't realize it. They way they played Sat with their executiion, effort and intensity, they would have beaten almost every team in the country.

Stanford wasn't that good this year? They finished 2nd in the conference and were the only team to win at Arizona. Decent or mediocre teams don't do that.

The Big East stunk this year

You should be an ESPN analyst with that kind of keen insight. The Big East stunk, yet it's teams have won 8 of 8 games in the tourney. If you don't think that says something about the quality of the BE's top teams and the conference as a whole, well, you are just plain clueless.

By the way, I'm an ACC fan.

If the Big East sucks then the A10 and Pac 10 are intramural ball.

That is some funny sh*t!!

To say that the big east sucks this year is a joke. Favored or not, they have 4 teams in the sweet 16. They are getting the job done!!

Stanford wasn't as good as they have been in the past few years.

I thought they were in that 20-30 range. Obviously good enough to get into the tourney..good enough to warrant a higher seed so that they should win one game and not good enough to make a deep run. That's exactly what they did...beat who they should have in SD and lost to a better team in UCONN.

I guess my point is to make a conference better than it was originally thought during a regular season, it's avergage teams must win in they aren't supposed to not it's elite teams winning when they are supposed to.

I'm not really putting down the Big East teams, I had 3 of them in the sweet 16, 2 of them in the final 8 and one in the final 4. But the success of these teams should be judged on an individual basis not a generalization that the conference was good, when in fact other than these 4, the Big East stunk.

Pac 10

Pac 10

Oregon
Lost to Utah -- MWC reg season champs & far from lame! Majerus is a legend for what he does to teams in the 1st round, when he has a few days to prepare for them. Tough draw! But they should have won.

AZ State
Lost to Kansas -- Big 12 reg season champs. After they dominated C-USA National div champs & tourney runner-up, Memphis.

Cal
Lost to Oklahoma in Oklahoma City-- Big 12 conf tourney champs. After beating ACC tourney runner up NC State. Last year the Golden Bears were knocked out by Pitt in a damn near home game for the Panthers. The selection committee owes these guys!

Stanford
Lost to UConn -- Big East tourney runner up. After beating WCC conf tourney champs, San Diego.

Arizona
Barely beat Gonzaga -- WCC reg season champs.

No embarrassing losses in that group! The P10 had a down year, but they are far from weak.

Conf strength has to come into your capping during tourney time.
If a team plays in a weak conf, it will definitely show in March. I said before the tourney that the SEC was overrated, The P10 was underrated (I thought most people felt they suck), & the Big East was the best conf in college b-ball.

I couldn't see why the RPI had the A10 & MWC rated higher than the P10. Never mind how the SEC was ranked #1!
