Did you guys hear about the canadian guy who prepared the ice for the olympics placed a $1 coin beneath the ice. Gretzky is going to donate it to the Hall of fame as it won Canada 2 gold medals

i wonder if he will be fired now?? He is the ice maker for the edmonton oilers as Edmonton easily has the best ice in the NHL

fired?
allowed?

sheesh, it's just a looney ($0.55 US) burried under the ice.

it wouldn't have had any effect to any outcome in any game.

i think it is a wonderful sentiment by the Canadian ice guru and shouldn't have any negative spin attached to it. Consider it as his trademark signature for being the greatest ice maker in the world.

should they remove the Nike logo from the sweaters?

i'm not saying that it would have had any effect on the outcome of the game...

from an occupational point of view, i'm just curious if he would be reprimanded for putting something OTHER than ice in the rink....??

BTW, nike symbols on jerseys is not a comparable analogy.

i hear ya.

i'm just thinking it was such a wonderful thought to have done it.
it deserves the years of lore the looney will create.

maybe someday they will sneak it out of retirement and hide it under homeplate of an Olympic baseball game.

... or better yet, under the floorboard at center court of a gold medal hoops game!

;)

(i still think the Nike logo is a trademark signature :p )
