The hurt keeps on hurting for Les Miserables.

The Canadiens are 1-5-2 ? their worst start to an NHL season in 70 years.

They lost 2-1 to the Florida Panthers on Monday night.

?We're ashamed, but we have to sort it out,? Mathieu Darche told the Globe and Mail.

Truthfully, it?s all about the injuries. No less than six regulars are out of the lineup as the Habs prepare for the Flyers Wednesday at Bell Centre.

Among the missing: Andrei Markov, Scott Gomez, Jaroslav Spacek ? And Max Pacioretty could be out Wednesday, as well.

?When you go to Montreal, it?s always a great place to go,? said Flyers coach Peter Laviolette, trying to put a positive spin on things.

?There?s always a buzz in that building to play in. There seems to be excitement there and they?re going to play hard. You know they?re a good hockey team and they haven?t gotten what they?re looking for, so you know that there?s extra meetings going on.

?There?s a little extra intensity and zip, so those games are always dangerous. But I think we just need to focus on what we?re doing. We?ve played a lot of good periods. There?s only been a period or so that I haven?t liked. There?s been a lot of good hockey to this point and we need to go in on the road and do what we need to do.?

Things are pretty ugly in Quebec right now.

?Nobody likes losing,? said Erik Cole, who signed a four-year, $18 million contract with the Habs in free agency over the summer. ?We're tired of it. We need to just find a way to get over the hump.?

Later, he told the Montreal Gazette, ?Every night is difficult, so I guess it really doesn't matter (who you play). No matter how you want to spin it, every night's going to be a grind, a fight. That's just how it's going to be. It's going to be like that, probably even worse than that, to get out of this. And then it's going to be just as tough or tougher to continue.?

Cole scored a power play goal this week against Florida that drew cheers from the home crowd. Why? Because it was just the Habs' third power play goal in 30 chances this season.

?To me that was probably the best power play that we've had this year, not only the fact that we scored but we created several other good chances,? said coach Jacques Martin.

?So I think we've got to continue on that and hopefully we're better on the penalty killing.?
