Been with Oly for 2 years now, and my buddies keep raving about CANBET. Granted, they do for the most part get much better lines at Canbet versus mine at Olympic, so has anyone ever dealt with them? Are they decent? What are there bonuses for certain deposit amounts? Riding the fence of whether to go back with OLY or go to Canbet-- any thoughts?

I used canbet last season and liked them ok. They seem to be wise to "correlated parlays" to some extent, but not too bad. The only thing that I don't like is this season I'm going to have to deposit at least $300 or pay a fine. I opened the account last year with only $100, and no fine. Are other books like this? Is oly like this?

Utah, never heard anything about a fine or anything, never have used canbet, but the best combo I have found is either oly, pinnacle and like carib a lot always give u a 1/2 pt edge, makes a great big difference. Always have carib, trust me!!! ;) ;) ;)

UT,

What does 'get much better lines' mean?

I hope that Jack doesn't ban me for saying this, but Canbet is a nice book and there will never be a worry about getting paid there. However, the same can be said for Olympic, and Olympic offers a LOT more betting options(as you obviously know since you've been with them) with the same security.

Have no idea about Canbet bonuses, and Olympic only sporadically offers bonuses, but I think I read somewhere that Oly is offering a 10% bonus sometime this month, or something. Don't quote me on that though, I really don't pay much attention to the bonus thing. There are much more important things to consider, IMO.

By that i mean when I went to make a bet on a particular favorite in baseball at OLY and my line was -130, my buddy got it at Canbet for -115 or -110, yea, that much difference.............AND, OLY pulls the games right at game time, like most other books, but COUNTLESS tims my buddy would be 10 mins after game start, or 15 mins after tip, would call Canbet and the guys would ALWAYS take his bets........stuff like that.........

I use and have used Canbet among others. I find them a solid book with great lines in most cases. They also offer lines on almost everything. As far as I know, there are no bonuses at Canbet whatsoever. The pay is very reliable and lines are usually up most of the time. I have not heard anything from them about having to redeposit.

Jack - I know it isn't any of our business, but I see Canbet advertising on other sites far less credible than this one. Why don't they advertise here?

I read somewhere that Canbet is now offering a 20% bonus on new sign-ups (max bonus is $100) and you have to roll it over 4 or 5 times before it goes into effect for any withdrawal.

UT,

Yeah, Olympic isn't the book for baseball sides. They use the wide line (20c) and you'll definitely have a hard time finding competitive value there compared to the 10c books. For everything else, I prefer OLY though. Also, i'm not sure if the fact that Canbet accepts bets 10 or 15 minutes after tip is really a good thing.

AR,

Thanks man! lol

While we're on the subject...

I'm considering going with Oly this football season. I have a question for Oly members: Do they accept correlated parlays? For example, can I parlay two bets on the same game like one of the sides and the over on the same game? Canbet does not allow this.

As far as I know, they do accept those parlays. I have played a side and total parlay on the same game before at Olympic.

I've never used Oly, but I've been with CanBet for 3 or 4 years now. What I like about them is their default juice is lower than normal. You'll typically pay -107 instead of -110 on normal sides & totals (I think their halftime plays are -110). This may not seem like much, but it definitely adds up over the long haul.

FWIW, I also use Sportsbook. They've got a deal where the football juice is only -105 on Fridays.

I have used both a great deal. Canbet is really a poor book for moneylines but other than that they are great. 7 cent vig, tons and tons of soccer wagers and if you pay close attention to their soccer lines you can use them to make money at other books because they are very sharp when it comes to that. Customer service has always been good.

One thing I would say is to avoid paying by credit card if you go with Canbet because it is a huge hassle to get your money out and you will get dinged with fees. I use my ATM debit card to fund books sometimes when I don't want to take the time to put money into Neteller and they are the one book I refuse to use credit cards on anymore because it is so infuriating trying to get reimbursed for conversion fees and such. I would say they are a great book for football but if you are a moneyline football or basketball player, you will probably find better lines at CRIS or Olympic or even Pinnacle.

Canbet

reduced juice and now they have a 20% bonus going, but I like Blue Marlin better then both these books. The big books just don't care about their players like the smaller books do!

When I used Canbet in the past, any credit card deposits I made were no hassle, as they used bank wires as the withdrawal method, which arrived the next morning in my account.

I should have clarified what I wrote. I meant "fee free" withdrawls. I haven't used Canbet in about a year but when I used them the amount deposited via credit card had to be returned via credit card. When I was there my understanding was that the bettor had to pay the wire transfer fees (usually ten bucks, I think) on his end and those fees wouldn't be refunded. Apologies for any confusion. Good luck whatever book you choose.
