Pedro Martinez will not pitch in the playoffs for the Mets. The right-hander has a torn muscle in his left calf, the opposite leg in which a calf injury sidelined him for the past month.*

cancel the subway series ?????

I did that long ago. But the Mets still look really good for the NL title. Pedro out means I can now bet them at inflated odds! I would've bet against the Mets if Pedro was in. Your boys are peaking at the perfect time though.

No offense to NL fans, but does anyone think the NL stands a shot in the World Series? Yankees are definate favorites and should win it all. Twins, Tigers, and A's are great stories, but none of these teams will beat the Yankees in a series.

i.o. ...played the cocks, how can you not.

everyone in the nl stands a shot. but they won't win. oakland isn't a great story. they do the same thing every year and go out in the first round. no reason this year will be any different.
but sadly, no one will beat the yankees except maybe the twinkies. the tigers don't stand a chance.

it'll be all decided on the field....i think we'll have some dog surprises in the playoffs this year....

i think this is a transition year with all the garbage going on with the NL this year....parity is ruling this year...

NL, any team has a chance.....
AL, Yanks are the faves, but then again, they still have to win to get there..... :):nono:
