I don't know what Jay-Z is filling Cano's head with but no way is that figure close. Cano will be 31 next month & a 10yr contract is crazy. I know he has great numbers but he plays 2nd base which I think rates # 7 or 8 in value for that position. 6 yrs. tops 130-150. Yankee fans do not buy tickets to see Robbie play. Try the Dodgers !

Yanks did give Arod a 10 yr deal when he was 33 I believe.......some team out there will be dumb enough to give him a deal like that, just like Pujols 2 years ago with his 10 yr deal and the Verlander deal this past off season

I think the numbers brought out were intentionally leaked out to let ML teams know that Cano will be overpriced, and see what sucker will pull another Pujols type signing. A Rod already proved to be worthless of his huge contract first initiated by the Rangers then re-upped by the Spankmees! No one in their right mind would give Cano that type of leverage, nor years and money package for a 2nd base run producer who's probably on the verge of a let down, plus he's had injuries the last couple years and he's not getting younger, even at 31 he's had his best years, until he proves otherwise, ML teams should stay away from anything more than 5 years and 20 mil per year. I don't think there is anyone stupid enough to do a Pujols type deal with Cano. If there is, that team will tank it just like the Angels have!!

What kind of payroll do the Cards, Braves, A's and Rays have again? Where are they in the standings? How about the Pirates and Reds? all are less in payroll compared to the Yankees and Angels and neither team made it to the post-season!! :mj07:

Later!!

I should post more plays and hire an agent if there is that kind of money being tossed around
