It is all about supply and demand. Hundreds of thousands of Americans can be a firefighter - they just don't choose to. Not saying it is not a worthwhile job, or an important one, but it is one that many (not you, of course) could do if they go through the training.

However, being special - one of the top folks in America - whether you are the best chemist, best computer guy (Gates, Jobs), best NBA player (James), etc - pays you more - cuz there isn't many folks that can "do it like you do".

You just don't get that. For the same reason, copper sells for a lot less than Gold. Now copper has a lot of uses, but it is fairly plentiful compared to gold.

But you don't get any of that. Being an idiot, and an old one at that, makes the whole concept of scarcity hard for you to understand.

Maybe an example will make it easier for you. To you, the dollar is a scare resource. You only have money when the government tit sends you your social security check. That's all the income you have. So you value those free dollars you get from the government.

I agree with Buffet. The tax code is skewed in favor of those who can invest, and against those who work for every penny. That should be changed, but in the meantime, I, like Buffet, will calculate my tax liability based on the present tax code.
