A relatively young experiment in economics.

Is there a chance that we are witnessing a collapse of this theory? Certainly the past hundred years of data might suggest that this is a possibility and current trends strongly indicate this as well.

Please discuss among yourselves. ... :0corn

I think we are seeing the result of outrageous greed and corruption at the highest levels of our government and by business leaders.

Now the question is what will it take to straighten out this mess. Are we strong enough or have we been weakened by years of this unchecked criminal
activity by the very people charged with guarding the system.

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
During the Great Depression there were many tons of ink spilled announcing the (premature) death of Capitalism. We go thru this with every big economic crisis. History.:sadwave:

Crises, such as the GD and the Great Recession we have now, are largely not the results of Capitalism. They are crises of distorted markets infested with Government-sponsored, upside-only capitalism.

And yet our hampered free market will get through it ok, despite all the "help" it gets. Plus, it will continue to raise living standards for all (especially the poor). And the idiots whose "help" hampered the market's recovery will once more take credit for it turning around once again. History, such a repetitive enterprise...:sadwave:

Hmmmm, capitalism is pretty much natural law. All other methods are the theories or experimentation.

Most problems are created as explained by Terry.
