Tenn at St. Louis -6.5 45.5
Tennessee has not proven to even being considered an average team yet in the nfl...personally i think they got the wrong guy throwing the ball...but that's just me...and two question marks in the backfield yet...both with nagging injuries and hungry for the starter job...is Mike Martz crazy? maybe...but this nut will keep things together in st louis with an improved d and a solid starting lineup and bulger pulling the trigger...nonetheless a pretty solid but aged backup in faulk if jackson doesn't pan out as well as they would've liked...i'm guessing titans are in for an afternoon replay of week one...st louis slides at home and i'll lay the 6.5...2 units

Cincy -3 at Chicago
Very exciting game for these two teams this early in the season...Yes, cincy is the real deal, but this could be an ultimate test for ol Carson and Co. I think Cincy is going to fall on aerial attack after running rudy and perry into a brick wall time after time...nonetheless...ya can't stop em every time i see carson throwing for a couple of scores and maybe a pick or two...Da bears? who are they? Yep sports fans, that's the local Chicago football squad we haven't heard from in a while. I think Chicago controls the clock most of the game running there two backs to death..completing a pass or two here and there and even managing a couple of scores...another nailbiter for Chicago, but in a losing effort...however...I'll take the three pioints and the best d in this battle...1 unit

Carolina -3 at Miami
The only justifyable explanation i have for this game is how long can miami's d hold up? Cmon offense ya gotta stay on the field and control the clock a little better so your d can get more than just a sniff from an oxygen tank before they're back on the field...week 1 was a fluke but i think saban has this team headed in the right direction...however Jake and Co. can move the ball and stay on the field...and o yess...they can even score touchdowns these days..my prediction..carolina controls the whole game and makes miami still look questionable...which they are ...gimmee the road fav here all day...1 unit

Cleveland at Indy -13.5
Cleveland and defense don't even belong in the same sentence...Dilfer? cmon ya played cincy and green bay...against a much improved indy d here and a much better team in general...indy makes cleveland look like a powderpuff team here...i'll take indy in a laugher...1 unit

Tampa Bay -3.5 at Green Bay
Yep packer fans, enjoy those lambeu leaps while you can, cause there won't be many in this matchup...bad news this year for green and yellow..can't stop anyone and can't score enough to make up for the turnovers they will produce...have i hopped on the cadillac bandwagon yet? nope...but i'm dragging on the bumper...ol cadillac has come out of the gates hot and has lots of good things to look forward too...i'm pretty sure he's going to make a large impact on opening up the passing attack of tampa, but they'll control the clock, move the ball, and the d will do there job like they've been doing with ample resttime between possessions..game will probably be closer than it should be...but tampa covers this without alot of stress...1 unit

Dallas -6.5 at San Fran
Give me a can of tuna and some orange julius and i'm good to go for lunch on sunday...san fran has shown signs of a solid d but dallas has more than proven they can protect there statue that lobs the ball for there offense...with ol julius pounding the rock a majority of the day giving glenn and witten good enough looks to get in the endzone enough...normally i'd take the home dog here...but the tuna will have his d making rattay looking like the main character in a kil the carrier movie...gotta go with the tuna this week and lay the points...1 unit

well, so far that's all i got this week sports fans...follow me, fade me, or just let me know what ya think...look forward to hearing constructive criticism, and what ya like...i've been following madjackers for about three years now and this is my first post...good luck to all and i look forward to all the insight other madjackers have...i'll have another, barkeep...later

Welcome, Dumptruck!

Thanks for the writeups. Some thought went into those picks and it was well stated without "gloss". Keep it up, post a few winners and you'll do fine around here.

As for you selections. I like them all. I'll only be playing 3 of them and for different units, but I hope for the best....

Tampa Bay is just too much for the Green Bay of today. Brett is subject to throw a drive killing int. at any time and Tampa's D is stronger than dirt. I know all about the"aura" at Lambeu but this road favorite is live and I'm jumping on the money train early.

No reason to lay off St. Louis either. They will finally get rolling at home and Tenn. will be the receipient of a good ol' fashioned whippin'.

Cincy will have their way with a very weak, and one-dimensional offensive team in Chicago and of course Indy will light up the scoreboard in their domain.

Good Lucks in your plays and I look forward to your future posts.
