CG, just to have a converstion amongst peers, I started this here because i didnt wanna clutter your thread up


mostly because you continue to use the word ignorance when talking about my football knowledge....

you say it is "ignorance" to think that a team ranked 3 could beat a team ranked 4 by a large margin


you say there is no way talent is different between a 9 win team and a 10 win team....

you say to think that two teams ranked that high are not even matchups is "ignorance"

thats all fine,



but I say ignorance is a fan thinking that just because a team is ranked in the top 10 that they are equal to all other teams...



just gonna throw a few scores out there, in which two ranked teams played. According to your logic, they were both "equal talent" and anyone who thought it would be a blowout was "ignorant"...


again, just trying to get you to understand the other side of the argument....i totally understand what you are saying....and i agree typically teams that are ranked high are deserving....but it isnt always the case....anyone who thinks different, well i guess we just disagree...

i said bama would win by 30....you said that is crazy to thnk it could happen....they are victories all around the 30 point margin

this has proven that it is very possible, and actually happens almost every year...


sometimes, schedules and weekly matchups allow for lesser teams to continue to remain ranked high, thus being ranked higher then they possibly deserve..


I am literally 100% done after this post with this topic. if this doesnt make you see that sometimes "top teams" arent good matchups with other "top teams" i dunno man...

You should clarify what I said and not make up something that I didnt say......that alone shows me you have missed my point.

I clearly said and maybe I need to spell it out to you for a third time tonight......stating a No. 4 team would beat a No. 3 team by 30+ is football ignorance and shows me your dislike for a program or your love for another program.
You are telling me you thought USC would beat OU by 36pts. back in '05? Or that Stanford would be VT by 28pts two years ago in the Orange Bowl?

To say ND would get beat by 30 plus by Bama when they are the No.3 and 4 teams in the polls make no sense. A 10 win team vs. a 9 win team.......to say they are that different on the field and it wouldnt be close screams football ignorance!

Although I would love to see nd win....brian kelly top 5 coach in country along with saban and urban and the other kelly and probably peterson or patterson....both do the most with the least

But I would bet the favs in all 3 scenarios.....



If oklahome was 13 pt favs vs nd, I would think bama would be around 18 pt favs like they are most weeks against wat the public perceives as "better" competition....

I would take ND as a DD dog against KState and Bama. That D is legit and can keep them in any game against a team that isn't too explosive. I think Oregon would prob crush them, and maybe even Georgia (who is underrated on this site at least, IMO).

Am I the only one on here that thinks KState is ripe to get their ass kicked and finish with 2 losses?

I kind of think Texas beats their ass and then they also lose in their bowl game

Tech and pounded them then a small road fav at TCU and whooped them..They are on a mission and playing great D to go along with Klien and the O....Every one has their opinions and that;swhy all these games should be played and not just argued about.
