Agree KState is least likely to lose of the 3 undefeateds. Should be 7-10 point fav over texas.

UO has a couple "scary" games but they just look too good to get derailed in the civil war or P12C.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone said what the spread would be if these games happened???

I would say:

bama would be -16 vs nd

Oregon would be -17 vs nd

Kstate would be -10 vs nd

All complete guesses, but think oregon would actually be bigger fav.....

Has any sportsbook ever said?

You are telling me you thought USC would beat OU by 36pts. back in '05? Or that Stanford would be VT by 28pts two years ago in the Orange Bowl? .

Just caught this part.

Cg, this is the thing, i personally may not have thought they would've been blowouts when the #1 team played the #2 team....

But I garauntee there were a handful of people who did...

That didn't make them ignorant......it made them CORRECT

Hate to disagree with ya :) K st was only a 7 pt fav at home vs Ok st...I would say k.st and ND would be damn close to a pickem. Bama would be maybe-5 or 6 max against ND....

and CG we are cool bro..

i just think bama would beat ND by 30 and you prety much called me an idiot for thinking so

like i said, this forum is full of people making predictions on games, that is what we do....not sure why thinking any game, regardless of who was playing, would finish in a certain manner is ludacris or insane....

glbro

You are insane if you think Alabama could even score 30 against ND, let alone win by 30. I'm not saying they couldn't beat them by double digits, but if you think anyone in America could beat this Notre Dame team with the best D in America (for my money) by 30 then you are crazy.

All good bro.

That's why they play...

I would love to be wrong.

If I could pick any team besides psu to win it all, it would be ND.....I love kelly too...and yes I have said that all year.....check the posts

Just have seen it so many times...very good teams, not elite teams, with slightly favorable schedules win a big game or two, and deservingly so get to play in a big bowl game....doesn't mean they are as good as their competition.....I have heard kelly himself say they are not a great team...he has said it multiple times...he knows he needs a couple more years.....and believe me I can gaurantee he gets them there....he is top 3 coach in country...

But I don't see the talent on this team being close to the top 4 or 5 programs....

Liike I always say, I mostly go off the system I use....I have bama winning by 24 on the nose.....34-10....

And I think their defense and big game experience would lead to another 7 or 10.....

I am wrong as often as right....

But that's what this forum is..

People making predictions on games and deciding who would win....

I think bama would....by a lot..

Sorry pool couldn't find lines...

I will admit this about notre dame

I watched some ND last night at my buddies....he is huge ND fan and has all their games on tv.......mostly we watched their okla game and their bc game and their mich game

Their front 7 is far superior then what I had though....when I actually played I hated watching film never thought it could teach ya anything, but now I enjoy watching games....

Their front 7 is as good as any in the counntry......they absolutley get after it....

But man is their offense average at best....

I don't change my stance.....I root for ND, but

I think bama and oregon would handle them.....what I will admit is I think kstate would be closer then I said....

Yup I'm saying ND is better then I thought.....

I love this shit lol... it's all speculation about who's better than whom, but it's kinda fun to see diff people's opinions.

I am not a ND hater.... but just because a team hasn't lost doesn't mean they have necessarily played great and are one of the elite teams. Louisville just went down last wk... are they a great team?

*I am glad to see ND return to respectability among the upper echelons of College Fb.
*I like Kelly a LOT! program is moving in the right direction again (finally)
*IMO, ND def is very solid, but far superior to their offense...
*and be honest now... they really haven't played much of a schedule have they?
They can only play who's on the schedule, but they haven't impressed me much... ask Kansas St about Oklahoma.

Navy? Purd? Mich St, Mich? Boston Coll? Wake F? a lucky win vs Pitt?
And the lucky win vs Stanford?
ND kinda got a little lucky late in the game, and I wanna see hands of all the people that thought Stanf got "jobbed" on the game tying TD that wasn't...

Im just saying that I don't think their offense could score enuf vs an elite team to win this year.

and I don't think there are many elite teams this yr.

OREGON is the best team in my opinion.... I don't think any team in the country can stop them. Even Alabama and LSU, etc

(Here's where I upset a lot of people probly lol) Honestly, barring excessive turnovers....
what do you think the scores would be if Oregon played their best offensive starters the whole game on a neutral field vs:
ND..... 56-17 on grass? 62-20? and omg, what if it was turf instead of grass?
Kan St...... 59-45?
Alabama..... 48-28? I think 'Bama has tremendous defensive athletes, but we saw what some innovative speed can do to their defense...
Tex A+M..... 62-48?

Barring injuries, I don't think anyone could stay close to them this yr.

I've seen them play 5 or 6 times.... it is amaaazing how much team speed they have. And the pace they play gets teams a little frazzled to say the least.

Saban thinks they need to change the rules so Oregon isn't allowed to run their plays as soon as the referee spots the ball ready for play... says it isn't fair... it isn't real football to play like that.... what??? :mj07:

not tryin to start shit w/anyone... so don't take this personally k?
It's just fun bullshitting about this stuff right?
I know media people don't see Oregon play when they have sat nite games, and the media has their deadlines and Oregon just doesn't get seen as much imo.

They still have to play Stanford and Ore St (HUGE rivalry gm) and then the Pac 12 championship game..

and what I'm more interested in is.... selecting winners on the betting card :D

take care everyone! We've got another 7 wks or so to go!! wooohoooo!! enjoy da ride!

hogman you are awesome

love how your text is what made me decide to stick with my initial thought....

i suppose they could score and bama would only win by 28

hope everyone hear knows this now, just because someone has a different opinion, doesn't mean they are STUPID OR IGNORANT....sometimes it means they are right..

like i said in this thread a long time ago, ND is just outmatched....without a doubt...

ND will be around in next few years :toast:

CG, just to have a converstion amongst peers, I started this here because i didnt wanna clutter your thread up

mostly because you continue to use the word ignorance when talking about my football knowledge....

you say it is "ignorance" to think that a team ranked 3 could beat a team ranked 4 by a large margin

you say there is no way talent is different between a 9 win team and a 10 win team....

you say to think that two teams ranked that high are not even matchups is "ignorance"

thats all fine,

but I say ignorance is a fan thinking that just because a team is ranked in the top 10 that they are equal to all other teams...

just gonna throw a few scores out there, in which two ranked teams played. According to your logic, they were both "equal talent" and anyone who thought it would be a blowout was "ignorant"...

again, just trying to get you to understand the other side of the argument....i totally understand what you are saying....and i agree typically teams that are ranked high are deserving....but it isnt always the case....anyone who thinks different, well i guess we just disagree...

i said bama would win by 30....you said that is crazy to thnk it could happen....they are victories all around the 30 point margin

few examples:

THE ONE THAT MAKES YOUR ARGUMENT THE MOST INVALID IMO

the "top 2 teams in the country"....using ur logic, this game couldnt be a blow out. both ranked top 2, has to be equal talent...

2005 CHAMP GAME

#1 USC VS #2 OKLA

FINAL SCORE USC 55-19

2007 SUGAR BOWL

#11 ND vs #4 LSU

FINAL SCORE LSU 41-14

2010 SUGAR BOWL

Brian kellys #5 CINCI vs #3 FLA

FINAL SCORE FLA 51-24

2008 SUGAR BOWL

#5 GA vs #10 HAWAII

FINAL SCORE GA 41-10

2001 FIESTA BOWL

#6 ORE ST vs #9 ND

FINAL SCORE OREST 41-9

2011 ORANGE BOWL

#4 STAN vs #10 VT

FINAL SCORE STAN 40-12

2008 ROSE BOWL

#7 USC VS #11 ILLINI

FINAL SCORE USC 49-17

2002 ORANGE BOWL

#5 FLA VS #8 MARYLAND

FINAL SCORE FLA 56-23

just dont know why you thnk someone thinking a top team could beat another top team is "ignorant"

this has proven that it is very possible, and actually happens almost every year...

sometimes, schedules and weekly matchups allow for lesser teams to continue to remain ranked high, thus being ranked higher then they possibly deserve..

I am literally 100% done after this post with this topic. if this doesnt make you see that sometimes "top teams" arent good matchups with other "top teams" i dunno man...

I think it woudnt be a good game ....you do......i dont call you ignorant or question your football intellegence because of it.....that is arrogance IMO to think that anyone who sees something different is "ignorant"......

sure you are a cool guy, but I played couple years of college ball and watched my whole life....dont claim to be a "guru", but i sure as hell am not naive enough to thnk that just because a team is ranked high means they are the best...

Have a good week and carry on........

:0corn

no hard feelings guru.....

just hope you see that you may have been a little caught up in the moment...and top ranked teams can really be outmatched by a lot
