Hey Eddie you are entirely incorrect and also making a complete generalization and placing all attorneys and doctors of chiropractic in cahots and unethical. I am a doctor of chiropractic have been for eight years I can't believe we still have idiots like you who feel it necessary to generalize a few bad apples and make the lot all bad. I would follow Fletchers advice if I were you and seek an attorney if you are really ligit and hurt. I would also seek treatment with a reputable chiropractor as whiplash is best treated chiropractically. I have been treating automobile accidents and work injuries for the past eight years and find that individuals who seek care within the first week after an auto accident respond much better then those that wait. Most of my family are medical doctors who I also treat and refer patients to me. Chiropractic care is the best type of care for these injuries. Medical doctors don't know how to treat these injuries and merely give drugs to mask your symptoms which need treatment. THE DOCTOR OF THE FUTURE WILL GIVE NO medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease. quote by Thomas Edison ... (pretty smart dude). The power that made the body heals the body it happens no other way.
Chiropractic is the best form of healing. I know I do it every day. If you havent tried it you dont know what you are missing!!!

Cracker Backer:

My post is 100% accurate. For every letter from an attorney an individual involved in a rear ender receives they will also receive a letter from a chiropractor offering them a "free visit". My biggest problems are not insurance companies but rather attorneys and chiropractors who send out these letters, advertise on late night tv, and otherwise make lawyers look like ambulance chasers.

I don't recall anywhere in my post where I said "all chiropractors" are in cahoots with pi attorneys in an effort to build special damages. I said to steer clear of those that advertise and solicit your business viz a viz letters to accident victims offering free visits and consultations.

I will further disagree with your comment about a "few bad apples". In each case I have wherein my client has received an unsolicited letter from a chiro after a rearender and has treated with the guy its been nothing but problems. He ends up having the client sign a lien letter, gives them manipulations and adjustements 3x per week for six months at $150 a pop. Your over 10k in specials before you can sneeze (which by the way, I know some chiropractors indicate they can cure with a manipulation).

And guess what happens to this guy when settlement time rolls around. He has an emergency room vist at $400 and $15000.00 in chiro bills for a cervical sprain. No real doctor treatment. Insurance company offers $6000. Now what!!!! Take it to trial??? Not me brother.

As I said earlier, around these parts, a jury 9 times out of 10 will return a defense verdict or a verdict less than the companys offer. Complete loser of a case. In essence, due to the lien letter, what I would in effect be doing is just trying to collect your bill. Is that service to my client? I don't think so.

I define legal representation in such a case as to advise the client that in general, chiro will hurt there legal case but they should seek whatever care they want for there physical well being. Are there good chiro's who don't overtreat, sure. But I completely disagree with you that they are the majority good apples.

I would rather have my clients get a script from an ortho for pt which I consider the same as chiropractic only sanctioned as traditional medicine. Why take a chance with one of the apples, whether they are the few as you contend or the majority as I contend.

There is a chiropractor in Cincinnati who has advertised that he can treat ADD (attention deficit disorder) with manipulation, adjustments hot packs etc. instead of traditional medication. Do you have any concept of what this could do to some poor uneducated person who reads this ad and decides to have there child treat with this charlatan in lieu of traditional medicine? As scummy as some of my bretherens advertisements are, I don't think we, as a profession have ever stooped this low.

You are the idiot.

Well Eddie I guess you really are an uneducated fool and there is no reason to continue to argue with you as your statement
"I would rather have my clients get a script from an ortho for pt which I consider the same as chiropractic only sanctioned as traditional medicine. Why take a chance with one of the apples, whether they are the few as you contend or the majority as I contend" truly defines that you have no idea what chiroractic is or what we do so therefore I will not carry on a conversation with an uninformed greaseball attorney because as bad as our reputation is yours is ten times worse. I would urge you to get informed before you make a comment that pts and chiropractors are the same. I am a doctor a pt is merely a therepist. I can diagnose and in some states prescribe medicine. My father is a medical doctor and refers tons of patients to me because he believes in chiropractic. My brother is actually an attorney and believe it or not as bright and educated as you think you are your comments are inaccurate and untrue. Plus guess what eddie, chiropractic school is longer and more intense then law school no matter which one you went to because believe me I know my brother went to a top law school and he knows. So no my friend you are the uninformed one making ludacris untrue comments and you my friend are the idiot!!! :142lmao: :moon:

Interesting that you called me an "uneducated" fool. Isn't it true cracker backer that you do NOT have to obtain a batchelor degree in order to get into chiropractic school? In other words, a high school graduate could, if he passes the entrance exam, get into chiropractic school.

I may be a fool but at least I'm an educated fool.

Not true you need a bachelors degree which I have a bachelors of science from San Diego State University in Business finance to be exact. Then a Doctor of Chiropractic another three and a half year program and a six month internship, which I believe is a year longer then your degree if I am correct so Eddie go ahead bring it on I also have another advanced degree a masters in business if you would like I can tutor you. I own two buildings, practice 25 hours per week and gross 1.2 mill per year.
Don't need to or want to brag just proving a point don't bash on me or my profession when your profession is scum of the earth and well known. What do you call a million attorney's at the bottom of the ocean?? A good start!!! lol

Also ADD patients do respond well with chiropractic manipulation not saying a cure but does help the nervous system and can calm children. Have two sons myself who love chiropractic and ask for adjusments when the feel they need it. They know when their neck or back hurt and feel better after manipulation.Older son plays football and has occasional neck pain and will tell me when he wants and adjustment and tells me how lucky he is to have dad as a chiropractor and all his friends come over and ask for adjustment. I guess you could do the same, oh forgot you can only give advice as to who to sue or should I say screw LOL

Besides why would you want to give a child medication and drug them up when they have ADD that is terrible to do to a child. I think all parents who give these kids with ADD meds should take them also ADD is a cop out (most times) and medicine for this is a coverup that the parents cannot parent. In certain instances it is necessary and I believe whole heartedly in traditional medicine whole family is MD's but you need to be careful drugs are not the answer. Cover everything up symptoms are there for a reason. Ask Bo Jackson if he would take back that shot in his hip??

I semi-regularly go to a chiropractor and I have a lawyer, so this is no slight to either of the professions. BUT an argument between a chiropractor and a lawyer as to whose profession is more crooked is quite comical. I hope this conversation continues.

Now carry on...

To add, I agree with Eddie that no lawyer should assume anything before seeing the facts of a particular case. To do anything else is a disservice to their clients and the population as a whole.

I also agree with backcracker that chiropractics can perform better in many cases than "traditional" medicines. I've never heard of ADD being treated this way, but I can see the logic. NOTE: I think about 90% of ADD cases are bogus as can be anyway.

Okay, now carry on...

Key point here is that Fletcher extended him a chance at employment. I'd recommend giving Fletcher a call.

That's mighty nice of you, Fletch.
