Car deals?

We are in the market for a new Acura MDX for my wife.

I actually just emailed 5 dealers this afternoon for quotes. I literally got a phone call from one of them no less than 30 seconds after I hit the send button. I guess he didn't read my "prefers to be contacted via email" choice.

Edmunds.com is a wealth of information including dealer rebates. For example Acura parent company has 2k back to the dealer for advertising so i want invoice - the 2k. Edmunds also has good discussion boards where you can look up the specific models and see what people are paying.

We really don't need the car until June but they have 3% financing and the marketing back. I haven't been too impressed with the quotes thus far but they are just middle ground I guess. I hate dealing with these guys.

I had a buddy call me and say they were giving the dodge chargers in Florida at some dealer as a buy 1 get 1 free deal as well. THATS A DEAL, most likely wont find what you WANT though. Im looking for the '09 Nissan 350z few new curves in it and a couple more horses to run with that makes that car call my name, looking into it they arent doing well with customer relations or service...I asked for basic pricing loaded NO BULLSHIT FEES...Im getting the run around, I thought they would be throwing it at me, Im putting over 9K but less then 10 down on it and told the salesman for A GREAT DEAL..cash can be arranged:shrug: guess the collaspe isnt as bad as we hear about....he either thinks Im playing or just wants his BIG BONUS and isnt entertainng the thought of BREAKS:violin:

Just because we don't need the car until June doesn't mean I won't buy one in April if we get a good deal.

I guess you would suggest we go when we absolutely need one so then we have no ability to walk away if we're getting screwed on the price. Good plan

Just got an extra fun car and knew the people at the dealership. Paid 12,200 for a 2006 VW Beetle convertible with 25,900 something miles and have warranty applied for 4 years, 50k. It has been great for 2 months and Angela is loving it (actually, so do I, very well built car and much more power than I expected). So, deals are there if you look.

Just got an extra fun car and knew the people at the dealership. Paid 12,200 for a 2006 VW Beetle convertible with 25,900 something miles and have warranty applied for 4 years, 50k. It has been great for 2 months and Angela is loving it (actually, so do I, very well built car and much more power than I expected). So, deals are there if you look.

We have the Jeep Liberty with "Sky Slider"

Pretty loud on very windy days while closed, but no much difference from a normal convertible. Top slides forward or backwards. So if you as the driver are not interested in having sun on the old noggin, but kids in back are, you open it from the rear, vice - versa. It is pretty large, and I love the thing, great in snow, about same room as Ford Escape etc.
