Am I the only one pretty shocked at this line?


I took Baltimore in the hilton contest simply because I thought Carolina would be 3 or 4 point favorites and usually when I'm in that far off on a game it's because Vegas knows much better and it always go the other way


Carolina is always tough at home

Cam and co. Come back last week from 17 down on the road

I have to imagine Carolina-3 would have gotten pretty even money....they have to be wanting a lot of panthers tickets if they are making them a home dawg after the country watched them rally to beat the defending champs on the road



So baltimore would be -8 at home? That seems crazy to me

I too was confused as I thought they would be -2 or -3 carolina. evidently baltimore gets it done as flacco has been solid this year

Raven gave up 17 unanswered to the Saints in Balt. last week.

They have holes in that D ......

I agree

Carolina at home gives any team fits....

The more i look the more it confuses me

And im not saying either team is better...just thought carolina at home should have been -3 or 4

But from a oddsmakers mind, trying to earn even money on the game by setting a line based on how the public percieves each team, i cant imagine they thought that making Baltimore a 2 point favorite would sccomplish that....the only time they dont set the line hoping for 50/50 money is when they have a preference on who they'd rather be backing

So my thought would be that Vegas likes baltimore to rebound. And would prefer to have more tickets on the Panthers


Unless im crazy and this line is nothing to question....



I would have loved Carolina on the moneyline if they were a small fav, because like old school said, they are a tough out at home....but this makes me change that thinking
