CARDINALS/RED SOX Over 11 -110 - This total has already risen from an opening number of 10 ?, and incredibly, the Over is now 15-1-1 in Boston?s last 17 games! Not surprisingly, the Over is now an amazing 44-16-3, 73.3% in all Red Sox games this season. They are hitting an incredible .319 at home vs. right-handed pitchers, and are averaging 6.41 runs per game in all of their home games overall. Thanks to this great run support, Wakefield has managed to go 5-2 despite a 5.35 ERA and a high 1.54 ratio. The Cardinals aren?t too shabby themselves vs. right-handers on the road, hitting .282 against them, so I look for Wakefield to give up his share of runs. Should the Boston bullpen be called in early, it would also help the Over?s cause as the Red Sox middle relief continues to be the club?s Achilles Heel. Stephenson has been roughed up on the road this year, where he is 0-3 with a 5.77 ERA and a horrible 1.72 ratio, and opposing road batters are hitting .297 against him. This does not bode well for his chances to contain this awesome Boston lineup. Also, the St. Louis bullpen has had its share of problems, with a group ERA of 5.03 and a 1.53 ratio.
