CARDINALS/YANKEES Under 9.5 -105 - This will be Roger Clemens? 4th attempt at career win #300. He probably should have gotten that historic victory in his last start at Wrigley Field, where he allowed just 3 hits in 6.1 innings before being pulled after just 84 pitches due to an upper respiratory infection. Naturally, Eric Karros greeted the now departed Juan Acevedo with a 3-run homer on his first pitch, costing The Rocket the victory. I expect Clemens to be on top of his game once again tonight, especially since he now has a chance to make history in front of his home fans. The fact that the Cardinals have never faced him before should also work to his advantage. Simontacchi has become ?consistently inconsistent? in his last 6 starts, alternating Quality Starts and poor outings. He was bombed in his last start vs. Toronto, so he is now in line for a good effort. Even though he has been erratic, the Under is still a fine 6-2-1 in Simontacchi?s last 9 starts, and he is facing a Yankee team that is hitting a disappointing .244 vs. right-handers here at home this season.
