Really like the Cards in a Money Line play... The Run Line has not been posted so far but would really appreciate any thoughts on Taking The Cards minus the 1.5 . Shouldn't be a close game but not sure on the weather and any other intangibles.. Comments on this game would be highly apprecated.... Good Luck to all..

AM2Kidz, I love the Cards today. Morris is strong at home with an ERA 1.71 and D'Amico
has been getting shelled as of late with an
ERA hoovering around 10. I personally am not
playing the runline but I do think it should win. What I did was to parley the cards with the A's so that if the cards should win I can always hedge the later game to insure I win some money!
LOL..Cabo...

Hey Cabo... Any chance you or anyone else can explain a Hedge play scenario.... Lets say I parlay the Cards with the Mariners and the Cards win early.. How can I create a hedge play with the Mariners?? I've never played one so I'm not really sure how it works.. Thanks for any help.. AM2kidz...

You would play ANA getting +odds for a percentage. Enough so you get money back no matter who wins, creating the hedge.

I've never thought the +1.5 was a very good play, if the fav wins there's about a 40% chance they will win by more than one. Your odds being better that they would lose the game rather than win by one. If it were me, I take the big price for my hedge.

My philosophy on hedging may be different than most, but if I play the CARDS with say the A's later, it is because I believe the A's to be the right side. I would "hedge" with TEX on the runline based on the premise that OAK can still win, my original angle on the game, but only by one for me to WIN BOTH. The ONLY way I hedge on the moneyline later on is if something changes, GIAMBI out of lineup for example, but not merely to lock up profit. This is what I do on a two teamer anyway... if you're talking a four or more teamer where the odds are 10 to 1 or more in most cases, certainly hedge the late game to lock in a profit.

Thanks MOV.... I created a scenario and your right... It really doesn't pay to go with the run line... For one thing it doesn't pay squat and another is a one run game isn't likely... I kinda like the hedge play situation but I guess it is a questionable call considering your giving up a possible big pay day with the original parlay and settling for less money... But a win is a win if you know what I mean... Thanks for your help... Good luck on your card...
