CARDINALS +102
In the regular season, Matt Morris owned the Giants, recording a 0.56 ERA and .233 OBA in 16 innings of work. Then in Game 1 vs. SF he totally blew up, giving up 10 hits and 7 runs, and walking 4 in under 5 innings! What happened you may ask? For starters, his location was off (half of his pitches were balls). And his tendency to give up runs early in the game came back to haunt him.
I believe what happened in Game 1 was an abberation. Over his career, Morris has sparkled against SF, giving up less than 2 ER's per 9 innings in 51 innings. As hot as the Giants are right now, I believe they won't clinch the series tonight. They'll fall from yesterday's emotional high, and the Cards will live to play another day.
Hope the mojo from the Anaheim/Minny series carries over!
