The 65th Square
don't give up hope

don't give up hope

yet

let me tell you a nice little story

it actually was my start of taking the under for 5 innings instead of the whole game

had the under 9.5 in a royals game a few years ago

score is 1-0 in the bottom of the 9th with no one on

here is what happens

tie it up 1-1

goes to extra

then the road team scores to make it 3-1

home team ties it up 3-3

more innings

road team goes up 5-3

home team scores 3

score is now 6-4 and I lose the under

so never give up as long as there is one out left

StL/Pitt Over 9 was my biggest play of the day. Two absolute gascans on the mound -- I figured this game would be a shootout. Of course not. Joel Pineiro, who is absolutely horrendous, somehow manages to pitch a gem. Just goes to show you how bad the Pirates are. And how bad NL hitters are in general. Ugh.

Thanks anyway Lucena. The Pirates are just awful. I knew that going in, but with Pineiro on the bump I figured they would be able to put at least 4 runs on the board. I'll definitely be betting against the Bucs a lot this year.
