it wasnot mac it was renteria, bottom of 8th runners 2nd and 3rd 1 out all he has to do is hit the ball to the of,he reaches for first pitch and hits a pop-up to short. then takes it out to the field with him and makes a mental E with a guy on 2nd 1 out ball hit to him that should of gone to 3rd with but didnot, then a base hit run scores runner goes to 2nd on cf bobble, then ball hit to renteria makes the catch but screws the throw up another run scored making it 2-0.
if he would of did his job in the bottom of 8th 9-10 times they would win,but he can't exacute and takes it with him to the field and cost them the game again. baseball is about mo in the 7-9 innings when you give it away it cost you more times then not in a tight game.this is the simple part of baseball, but your head has to be thinking at all times and he wasnot, you never swing at the first pitch with guys on 2nd and 3rd with less then 2 outs in a tie game late.pitcher is going to throw to his spot because of the open base, then you have the double play set up corners in middle half. so as a hitter you wait for mistake or take the walk. then you go to the field with your head stuck up your ass and screw that up.
both pitcher threw great, this game was lost because of lack exacution by 1 team,it wasnot won by another.thats baseball.

St louis had several chances to put this one away, before the ninth. but excecution was not there. fundamentals will kill you everytime. look at the game that just ended. oak has runner on second no outs, but howe fails to sacrifice the runner over. thus no run and lose the game in the bottom of the inning. we have discussed this several times but failure to bunt runners over has killed many a teams this year.

Vegas Baby !!
Had StLouis, Oakland, and Atlanta in a $600 RR. What a joke when 2 out of 3 teams that are close to 2 to 1 favorites, can't win. I swear, I know that KC is like 5-13 against LHP this year, and I've lost all 5 they've won. Whenever I bet on StLouis, they die. It amazes me that a guy like Anderson, that doesn't have fancy enough stuff for even ONE strikeout in 8 innings can shut down the Cards. Pittsburgh has won like 16 away games this year, and I lost on 7 of them. I'm going to the Buffalo trend method!!

That is where I get my LUCKY Buffdalo Nickel and flip it. Heads for home team, TAILS for visitors. Can't do any worse!!

cards are in a bad way. they had a few games there where they had played decent ball but for the most part they have had many of games where they are slacking mentally. they also are putting too much pressure on themselves and the st louis media and fans are not helping. at the beginning of the year it was said a million times here in st louis they would win the division and you would not believe the criticism after the first half of the year for being a 500 club and out of first you would have thought they were cincinnati. fans have started booing larussa and a few of the players which hardly ever happens in st louis and the worst part is the added pressure of playing houston and the cubs this upcoming week huge series but first they had to play the lowly pirates. the cards also hired a new batting coach the other left due to personal reasons so that does not help either. about big mac he will tell you he is not the greatest right now and if you watch him bat you know he is still not healthy. fact is the cards are mentally weak right now and do not deserve action on them so if you take them hold your breath. the last thing i will say is tony larussa gets a little carried away with the lineups. seems to be a new one everyday so i dont see how a team can gel doing that kind of thing and why polanco is not playing everyday is beyond everybody. good luck and stay away from the cards unless they are facing a fireballer they seem to hit them decent if they face a lefty that throws soft stuff bet your life against them those type of pitchers kill them.

i totally feel you on the card, they killed me 2 times vs Pitt!. And when they got swept by Royals in interleague. I have bet on them 6 times and my record with them is 1-5, the same with Texas and Milwaukee, I am never on the right side with these teams, it really pisses me off, So now I quit betting any game with those teams, b/c I cant win betting either those teams or their opponents, (Ie when STL kept beating the Cubs and when they swept the Twins, well you know what i mean)
And the pirates how can a team so bad kill us in our betting everytime. Their record should be 55-40, shoot as many times as they messed us up, need I remind you all when they swept the Indians in interleague, these 2 times they beat the Cards..and when they beat the Cubs. I am sick of the Pirates!
