Carolina (-3.5) over the Giants

Looking at last week games

Two plays stick out in my mind, one the "batted ball" call on the dropped punt (TERRIBLE) and the fumble on the like 12 yard line leading to Palmer's TD pass. Those two plays turned a KC cover into a loss.

That being said, the Giants did not impress me on offense as much as KC looked terrible on defense. All 3 rushing TD's could have been prevented with just sound tackling. Ron Dayne will not have those types of runs against a defense like Carolina. Eli and Kurt looked frazzled under the pressure KC sent, if they thought that was bad wait till tonight (CAR 4 INT vs. Was). The line of the Giants had a tough time keeping the front of KC off the QB, I see more problems for the o-line tonight.

On defense, NY will not have their starting LB's or Washington, this should allow the running of Carolina to make some ground. Fox has said he thinks the starters will go the first half. The secondary of the giants is much improved now that players are healthy. Come late in the game the depth/ experience of Carolina should be enough to hold off (unlike KC) NY third stringers.
*One play....Screen pass, the giants had a tough time defending it vs KC and if Car uses it they should be very successful.

Injuries for the G-men
Stokes, the following players are not expected to play against Carolina due to injury: DE Lorenzo Bromell (PUP/knee), WR Tim Carter (hamstring), S Jason Doering (knee), LB Carlos Emmons (leg), PK Bill Gramatica (back), LB Barrett Green (ankle/thigh/back), CB Ray Green (knees), LB Nick Greisen (hamstring), TE Mark Inkrott (thigh), DT William Joseph (pectoral muscle), WR James McKnight (toe), G Scott Peters (ankle), G Mike Saffer (ribs), G Rich Seubert (PUP/leg), TE Jeremy Shockey (foot) and S Gibril Wilson (neck). DE Keith Washington will be sidelined for 3-4 weeks after a fracture was discovered in his orbit bone under his left eye.
