Clearly your upset....

Let me guess, you had Chicago last night??

That explains everything.

Yea I had Chicago.....congrats on your win, BUT.......Wentz did not win that game for Philly! You don't get handed 3 TO's every week.

21/34 (38% lol!) completion %...190 yards passing.......the next Peyton Manning!!

Look...I'm not saying at all the guy isn't going to succeed in the NFL. I don't agree with all the hype and overreaction vs two SHITTY teams with SHITTY defenses and all sudden he's the next big thing. He may be who knows! But, right now it's way too early. Week 7 or 8 we'll get a good read on him which like I said hope is a good one! I took Philly Week 1 and was happy with the outcome, so I have nothing against the guy at all. Wasn't pretty, but he did pass his first road test.....nice job

1.) 21/34 is 62% completion percentage.

2.) He had 4-6 passes dropped by his targets, that shouldn't of been dropped.

3.) He's the next top 5 caliber QB in this league, you can agree or not. But he is.

4.) Your doubt in him has been noted, just please don't jump on his band wagon, when you finally realize his talent level.

5.) Freshen up on your mathematics please.

I Have followed his college career, because I'm a handicapper and gambler. I'm not a fan of NDS. But I would be willing to bet I've watched many more of his snaps then you. Kiper and mcshay, don't gamble like I do, nor do you.

P.S. I don't really care for redheads.

I guarantee you've watched more snaps then me....I haven't followed him like you.

Do you follow every player from schools in sub dividions? Like Mt union or mcneese st?

Mcshay and kiper don't need to gamble for me to know that they know more about every division/school/player/recruit then all of us...it's their job to know everyone...and they do....so again your vast knowledge of Carson Wentz is not just convenient, it's impressive. You may have a spot on ESPN draft panel next year if the right person reads this.

A Carson Wentz virtuoso....

We're you impressed with Steve Walker or Brock Jensen and their careers? Some of the greatest Bison is history

Where it is real F ing COLD
I believe he is one of the next superstar QBs in the NFL, SHOULD have been the first pick this year

Thoughts?

this guy should be a star if he stays healthy, but interesting to see how far he has come along when he faces the Vikes in October, can he hand tough defenses? I'm thinking some growing pains at first but the future is bright

LETS look at past Great QB's who were thought to be nothing at all..

starting way back in 70's the 1st super star 4 time champion and no it aint Joe Montana

TERRY Bradshaw. Of The The greatest Team ever in NFL the 6 time winners Steelers

Heres how he started out.

Bradshaw became a starter in his second season after splitting time with Terry Hanratty in his rookie campaign. During his first few seasons, the 6'3", 215-pound quarterback was erratic, threw many interceptions (he threw 210 interceptions over the course of his career) and was widely ridiculed by the media for his rural roots and perceived lack of intelligence.

It took Bradshaw several seasons to adjust to the NFL, but he eventually led the Pittsburgh Steelers to eight AFC Central championships and four Super Bowl titles. The Pittsburgh Steelers featured the "Steel Curtain" defense and a powerful running attack led by Franco Harris and Rocky Bleier, but Bradshaw's strong arm gave them the threat of the deep pass, helping to loosen opposing defenses. In 1972, he threw the "Immaculate Reception" pass to Franco Harris to beat the Raiders in the AFC Divisional playoffs, which is among the most famous plays in NFL history.

Bradshaw temporarily lost the starting job to Joe Gilliam in 1974, but he took over again during the regular season. In the 1974 AFC Championship Game against the Oakland Raiders, his fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Lynn Swann proved to be the winning score in a 24?13 victory. In the Steelers' 16?6 Super Bowl IX victory over the Minnesota Vikings that followed, Bradshaw completed 9 of 14 passes and his fourth-quarter touchdown pass put the game out of reach and helped take the Steelers to their first Super Bowl victory.

NEXT Great HOFER JOE Montana

wow did he look horrible coming out of college

Despite his performance on the field, Montana was not rated highly by most scouts. At one combine, Montana rated out as six-and-a-half overall with a six in arm strength, used to judge how hard and how far a prospect could throw the ball. By comparison, Jack Thompson of Washington State rated an eight, the highest grade among eligible quarterbacks.[13]

In the 1979 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers selected Montana at the end of the third round with the 82nd overall pick.[22] Montana was the fourth quarterback taken, behind Thompson, Phil Simms, and Steve Fuller, all selected in the first round.

Though San Francisco finished 1980 with a record of 6?10, Montana passed for 1,795 yards and 15 touchdown passes against nine interceptions. He also completed 64.5 percent of his passes, which led the league.

NEXT Great QB

TROY Aikman

Aikman's NFL career started with a 28?0 loss to the New Orleans Saints. The following week, Aikman threw his first touchdown pass, a 65-yard completion to Michael Irvin, but the Atlanta Falcons intercepted two passes and won. In a game against the Arizona Cardinals he threw for 379 yards to set an NFL rookie record. He finished 1989 with an 0?11 record as a starter, completing 155 of 293 passes for 1,749 yards, 9 TDs, 18 INTs.

x29:

In 1992, Aikman set career highs in completions (302), passing yards (3,445) and touchdown passes (23), and led the Cowboys to a team record 13 regular season victories and the second best record in the NFC. During the playoffs, Aikman broke Joe Montana's record of 83 passes without an interception by throwing 89.[5] The Cowboys defeated the Eagles at home in the Division Playoffs and squared off against the 49ers in the NFC Championship, a matchup that featured the two best teams in the NFC.

The Cowboys won, 30?20, with Aikman completing 2 game changing completions to send the Cowboys to their first Super Bowl appearance since 1979. In Super Bowl XXVII against the Buffalo Bills, Aikman led the Cowboys to a blowout victory, 52?17 (coincidentally the game was played in his alma mater's home stadium, the Rose Bowl).[5] Aikman was named Super Bowl MVP after completing 22-of-30 passes for 273 yards and 4 TDs

SUCCESS won 3 superbowls and i think he will be in the HOF

another great QB I forgot because i never cared for him John Elway

In the 1986 season, Elway led the Broncos to Super Bowl XXI, after defeating the Cleveland Browns on a famous possession at the end of the fourth quarter that became known as "The Drive." (In a span of 5 minutes and 2 seconds, Elway led his team 98 yards to tie the game with 37 seconds left in regulation. The Broncos went on to win the game in overtime.)

Elway and the Broncos started out the Super Bowl against the New York Giants very well, building a 10?7 lead and then driving to the Giants 1-yard line in the second quarter. However, the Broncos lost five yards on their next three plays and came up empty after kicker Rich Karlis missed the field goal attempt.

From that point on, the rest of the game went downhill for the Broncos. Elway was sacked in the end zone for a safety on the Broncos ensuing possession, cutting their lead to 10?9. Then in the second half, the Giants scored 30 points and ended up winning the game 39?20. Still, Elway had an impressive performance, throwing for 304 yards and a touchdown, with one interception, while also leading Denver in rushing with 27 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

After recording an 8?8 record in 1988, Elway once again led his team to the Super Bowl after the 1989 season, with yet another win over the Browns in the AFC championship game, going on to face the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XXIV. However this game ended even worse for the Broncos than their previous Super Bowl losses. San Francisco blew out Denver 55?10, the most lopsided score in Super Bowl history. Although Elway scored the only touchdown for his team on a three-yard run, his performance was abysmal: 10 out of 26 completions for 108 yards with no touchdown passes and two interceptions.

But he didn't try to hide from the media after the game or downplay his dismal performance. And when he was asked if he wanted to go back to the Super Bowl after three losses, he responded that he wanted to go back every year, even if his team kept losing.

Still by this point, many doubted that he would ever win a Super Bowl in his career.:0061

It took Elway another eight years, but he eventually led his team back to the Super Bowl, following the 1997 season. During the preseason American Bowl game in Mexico City, Elway ruptured his right (throwing arm) biceps tendon. It was treated non-surgically, and he returned to play 19 days later, and the team advanced to Super Bowl XXXII, Elway's fourth, where they faced the Green Bay Packers, the defending champions.

Despite Elway completing only 11 of 22 passes, throwing no TDs, but one interception, the Broncos defeated the Packers 31?24, winning their first Super Bowl, after three failed attempts for Elway (and four for the team). In the 1998 season, the Broncos repeated this feat and Elway was awarded the MVP of Super Bowl XXXIII, throwing for 336 yards and one touchdown with one interception, while also scoring a rushing touchdown in Denver's 34?19 win over the Atlanta Falcons. It was his last game, other than the 1999 Pro Bowl.

Thats enough said we all know Peyton manning couldnt win a fucking Playoff game for years and got a win vs the worst QB ever in superbowl history REX GROSSMan perfect name for him too GROSS MAN

was easiest bet ever i made in the bowl laying 7 1/2 points and it was raining that day in Miami BUT Old Rexy made sure Bears would lose :mj07:

Hilarious!! He's beat the Browns and Bears combined 0-4 LOL!! Now he's the next super star. I'll check back with you guys around week 7 or 8 see where he's at. I agree he looks solid and has potential, but to crown him this early? Cmon...play some real defenses first. Pretty solid test against Steelers this week

How did that solid test go? :mj07:

I think the sky is the limit for this kid... he's the real deal.

Type of guy who can turn around a franchise.

As a Bears fan in already looking at the top college QBs to see who can make this change for Chicago

Chicago should definitely have a chance at a top pick.. I don't see any wentz caliber qb's in the next couple draft classes.. But you never know... I am still wondering if goff will ever be a starter in this league.
