YYZ, though I tend to side with BTJ here, your right, this is getting old. I think ole beantown took a shot at the book knowing full well what the score was and the book decided to ride it out and see what happened. The problem is we will never know what would have happened if the bet would have won, thats what stinks, I hightly doubt he would have been paid. I think Beaner took a shot and the book took a shot back, end of story, no winners here either way, unless your holding the $660

This matter is another giant distraction from future winning, since that is why most of us are here. I think Seymour brings up a good question when asking about the "Donation to Charity".

Next I'll say that there seems to have been mistakes made on both sides of this issue. There is no way to detect what either sides motives were before or after the game. Did BTJ bet late to intentionally have an out if the bet lost?? Was the bet, that bad of a play with the score within one bucket near the end of the 1st quarter?? Did Cascade take a wait and see until after the game was over?? What did they gain?? If they DID make the DONATION then they not only failed to gain but lost reputation and the money!!
When we lose bets, most of us care less what the book does with his winnings above keeping working capital on hand to cover his future loses. If this particular event plays out that greed is a motive by either side then they will certainly be seen in a dim light by all of us who gamble.
I suggest that both sides propose a solution that is somewhere in the middle and NOT contrived from GREED. No one keeps the money. Everyone admits that they were partially at fault....for whatever reason!!! Ask for help from people here that would like to see an end to this. After all we have Doctors, Lawyers, and Indian Chiefs here at Jacks. I suggest that the main reason that this subject might be of intrest to this forum is that luckily Mad Jack has provided us all with an avenue to pursue injustice when no one else seems to listen.
I for one would also like to know which 30 offshore books you have accounts with, BTJ!! I'll bet I could come up with a plan that would compensate or offset your loss without further beating a dead horse.
