let his emotions get the best of him. too bad. the most consistent player on our team for the year goes in the tank at the line. terrible decision to take that ball to the rim, never have i watched a team dominate the way we did for 18 min and lose like that.

antonio anderson played the best game of his life, and his buddy F'd it up.

dozier played his best game as well.

as usual, dorsey plays stupid. 5th foul let ku have 2 ft w/ no time off of the clock. a very talented player that did not improve enough in 4 yrs. - i am glad he is gone. time to get a big guy that can make layups. i

you can gloat or jump in the thread - it doesn't matter at this point.

please, don't tell me ku was better because they weren't. we truly gave that one away.

I still cannot figure out why Coach C did not call timeout and demand the foul to prevent the chance of a game tying three in regulation?

you and everyone in section 341 at the game.

i would put this loss up there with the "tuck game" for most dissapointing events in my life.

KU never panicked and stayed w/ their game plan throughout - i credit them for that. gutsy win.

with a 9 point lead and less than 2 min their absolutely no reason to lose a game unless the entire team just walks off the floor.

this is why my 2 favorite teams are the Raiders and the Tigers..........................................

Could anyone in section 341 actually see the game (must look like ants)!! That place is way too big (upper level) to try and watch basketball....football yes, but hoops....NO WAY!!

Some of the fouls Dorsey commits have had me scratching my head for the last 3 years:shrug:

Forget whatever strategy you what to employ that last 10 seconds..........not taking a TO is totally unexcusable to me.........if someone can explain why you would not take a TO to go over things when you have 2 left needs to tell me.....

Dont know if Memphis will ever recover from this........I would have rather seen them lose by 20 than to lose in such a horrible way..........

Do you think CDR thought he could have dunked that ball.........time is on your side.....by getting fouled you stop the clock...........

i think that the constant fouling from the last 2 games finally got too him. he is a very good offensive player, but he can be rattled. the game did not favor the tigers again. our guys expected calls that were not going to be made.

inexcusable decision. if he retreats from the basket they are done. only one man back.

less than 8 sec and all of the stories are different.

if this one doesn't make my dark hair gray - i will look like pacino at 60............

So even if he passes it back out it would have killed at least 5 seconds (hard to see on TV where the KU players were)

Not sure that play matters that much. He misses the 2 fts but they get the rebound and Rose to the line with 10 secs to go....so ended up in just about the same place it would have been if he had pulled the ball out...maybe better...

Calipari not fouling or calling time out was the big mistake. His presser he claims they tried to foul and that is just bs -- watch the tape there is not only no effort to foul Rose holds his hands up as if to say "I didnt foul"

ku lost the lead shortly in the second half. we played an entire game with basically our best big man on the bench for half of it because he is flat out inept mentally.

memphis made fewer 3's than ku. ku made 14 of 15 fts. memphis had more unforced to's last night than any game to date.

that 9 pt lead with 1:58 left is enough for any team to win but us. where did that come from ? outstanding defense.

joey dorsey's foul allowed 2 pts w/ no time off of the clock. at that time ku was out of sync and rush was dribbling around the three point line. it also took him out of the game on D. arthur took adv immediately.

the memphis coaching staff failed to make any decent adjustments until hlaf time. the constant picks for rose in the 1st half were stupid at best - all it did was bring an extra defender.

F' it. we will live with this collapse for a long time.

dozier actually pulls his arm back. the lack of timeout was inexcusable. most teams foul there or at the very least give up the layup.....................................

Any idea what Cal was thinking in that last 10 seconds.........just cant imagine why a coach wouldnt want to call TO.......

And even if they didnt want to foul maybe force the ball to someone else besides Collins who was the fastest guard to get it up the floor.........

I also noticed Dozier and Taggart guarding post men around the lane area on that three........if they really knew the situation like they should have they would have just let anyone go after they went inside the arc..........no reason to guard post players......the 2 cant hurt you in that situation........

Just really dont think the players knew what they wanted to do............

Still didnt think Rose really tried to foul Collins......either he was told and forgot or he was never told to foul...........

Elvis, I hate it for the state of Tennessee, I think it would have been nice for Memphis to bring home the title, but I cannot bring myself to like Cal. I met him one time and found him to be the most arrogant asshole that I ever met.

That BS about "I asked God that if he hits these FT's we win and if not it just wasn't meant to be" WTF is that. Like Jay Bilas said, God didn't lose that game, Cal did. No poise just like the Tennesee game, he had no poise in the last few seconds. Does he actually think that we are supposed to believe that he told them to foul? They were clearly not trying to foul.

IMO, the lose could not have happened to a better jerkoff. I do hate it for Rose and CDR though. Dorsey was a chump as usual

in the end, the all of the tigers' flaws came out at the wrong time.

little poise at the end of the game and situational awareness were severely lacking. the reason conf usa sucks is because we rarely are put in situations like we were monday night. the tenn game we lost and the miss st was way too close. experienced teams don't quit.

we had the best starting five in the nation this year, but lacked quality depth. we basically played 6 guys in that game and ku played 8-10.

KU definetely had a deeper bench, and are the better team.

I got this from a friend in Boston just after the game:

"A loss like that will take years to get over. Trust me. I'm a Syracuse fan who watched a similar lead get blown in 1987 as Derrick Coleman missed free throw after free throw before Keith Smart hit that shot from the corner. It wasn't until we won it all in 2003 that I recovered."

Ironically, he got well at Kansas' expense.
I am still sick at my stomach.
