100 points in 6 straight games, and have played little defense in the process.

how do you change that?

add MORE scoring and LESS defense, lmao.

ricky davis and chris mihm are two nice offensive players with little interest in playing defense.

to ricky davis, i say:

good riddance.
i love your offensive game and energy, but you arent interested in playing team basketball and your inability to co-exist with lebron and silas sent you on your way to boston.

this is one of those trades that makes both teams better. davis appears to be the star involved and the headliner, but cavs received a solid mix of players that will help them. celts acquire more scoring and antoine walker all over again, lol

Gman- If you remember, there was a thread at the beginning of the season regarding the Cavs and I said they would be better off getting rid of Davis and Miles. I think Davis is better suited as a sixth man on a very good team to give some scoring off the bench. On a losing team he isn't going to help because he is deficient in so many other areas. One down and one to go.

James is the type of player that needs guys who want to play team ball and understand the basics of the game. I think having role players like Williams and Battie is an improvement in the quality of basketball Cleveland will put on the court now.

You would think Minny would be the play now since Boston will probably only dress 8 or 9 players. Leg-weary teams tend to not shoot as well as fresh legs..........

i dont know about this one...

e williams is a solid player who plays hard every night ...

battie..has been a dissapointed since coming to the nba ...but if healthy he can give you some boards and scoring...k brown is young and raw...looks like a project...

and basically in my opinion we get one player..

R davis...granted this guy is a talent..but lots of off court problems..

and maybe im missing something ...but i thought we already had a two guard?????..

maybe they move pierce to small forward???...

certianly not an improvement defensively...for C's ...

and i thought they had been starting to play decent ball....

mihm has played really well as of late, or at least has improved significantly since he has been coming off the bench. in fact, just behind lebron, he was the cav that most impressed me in the games i have seen.....but thats just my opinion. you guys got a steal i think

cooz:

you guys will be pleasantly surprised with mihm.
he's not the player most expected coming out of texas but he is definitely a solid backup center (problem is, he was drafted so high that he was expected to be dominant). he's not dominant, but he might very well be one of the most offensively skilled centers in basketball. problem is, he is soooooooo soft. he finally showed some nut sack this year, but he is a finesse center. his jump shot is incredibly smooth and he can knock it down with regularity. but he abhors contact and doesnt rebound as well as he should for a 7-footer. truly an enigma. very skilled, but as soft as they come.

im really happy with this trade for cleveland. its not about talent anymore with the cavs. theyve got a ton of it. their problem is finding guys willing to lock guys down on defense and not be about me-me-me. williams, battie, and brown provide that. hate to see an offensive talent like davis go, but hes not a complete player. can be a prolific scorer but he'll have you rippin your hair out sometimes with his decision making on the court

Mihm still needs to eat a quart of peanut butter and drink a gallon of buttermilk every night before going to bed.....

Otherwise, he'll blow away ...

Not sure if this is a good deal for the Baystaters... Only time will tell
