there is no playoff! Look at all the cuss'n an' discuss'n going on here. You don't get this type of discussion (arguing?) in CBB because there's a tournament.

Hell, people are still talking about the BCS from 3 yrs ago. Who's still arguing about other sports from 3 years ago, college or pro.

Also, every game in CFB matters during the regular season. The regular season doesn't matter in CBB. Who cares who's #1 in the poll or if a team wins their conference, all good teams get in to the tourny anyway.

Would a tourny be exciting? Yes. Would it end all discussion? No. I'd wouldn't mind a tourny, but I'm one of the few who also enjoy the current system. I love CFB, and anything that keeps it vibrant is great.

BTW, I think OSU and Mich are the two best teams, but I think OSU and Florida should be in the title game. Discuss.

I love it too! I don't even get upset about, its very entertaining. I respect all conferences to an extent with the exception of the Patsy 10. They have one team year in and year out who could play in any conference and do well(USC). Outside of the SEC, I have the most respect for the Big 10 and Big 12. Big East is starting to get my respect as well. Many of the lower echelon teams in that conference are getting better every year (Rutgers, Louisville, West Virginia). Bottom line, Ohio St and Michigan are probably the two best teams in the country but more people would rather watch the Ohio St/Florida matchup as opposed to a rematch. Never thought I would say this but, GO GATORS!

I agree, I use to always want a playoff but it's easy to want what you don't have.

Saying that, I wonder how awesome an 8 team playoff would be?

I heard someone mention it on espn coverage after the bcs games were announced on fox and they said that the regular season is kinda like a playoff where you almost have to win every game.

I am happy with the way the system is, I wouldnt mind added a playoff either, but bowl games are one of my favorite times of the year in sports, maybe even my favorite.

I also think the bickering it quite funny as you are never really going to change somebodies mind if they are backing another conference.
