I'm looking at four games that simply don't make sense.

FSU -15.5 (opening and already bet down to 13.5)
LSU -6.5 (no movement)
TCU -6.5 (no movement)
Penn State -19 (and actually bet up to 19)

I can make a good case for the Noles and Cincy this week. ACC trends this year favor the home team and I think FSU bounces back big time in Tallahassee in a double revenge situation. As far as Cincy is concerned, linesmakers may be adjusting to a string of close games that TCU has played. However, I just can't see myself playing Bama or Penn State even though the line is telling me to do so.

BTW, it's nice to be here and this looks like a good board with a lot of info. I usually post at another site, but I'll try to post here as well.

GL to everyone this weekend.

its funny that you mentioned tcu/cincy game. i was just discussing this with a buddy of mine. my lean is to cincy as well because they perform well vs the c-usa elite team. the reason im leery of this game now is because of the stupid friggin media. if theyd just shut up about tcu and not deserving a bcs bid, cincy could catch tcu is a flat spot with southern miss up next and tcu reading their own press clippings. but every time i turn on espn or everytime i visit a cnnsi or cbssportsline or listen to espn radiop or fox radio, its all about slamming tcu. it scares me that the frogs might take an "us against the world" mentality. would rather the media not try to wake tcu up like that.

those other games are real tough. i considered (and am still considering) penn state. indy ripe to get blasted. they got their token win for the year in the last seconds vs a horrendous illinois team. i think the hoosiers wont be able to handle success, especially the way they had it (last second win). indy could be elixir for joe pa.

fsu and lsu. real tough games.

btw- hope to see you around here more. theres just a ton of good info here and most importantly, the guys here are capable of mature discussion. its not just about trying to out-cap someone else. theres a lot of guys who contribute more than just posting locks of the year like the other sites

As you know, I'm a PSU fan. That being said, I don't know how Indy can be blasted when the team that they're playing against has no ammunition. :D

Unfortunately, I think the OSU loss took everything out of them and they have no heart.

Take a closer look at FSU, my friend. I think that NCSU is the public dog that is going to get blasted.

fla:

im always on the lookout for a public dog. ncstate appears to be just that. i dont remember the posters name offhand, but someone posted a good system that says to play ON a team the following week if they lost the previous week as a DD favorite. fsu would obviously apply. people have quickly soured on the noles. honestly, i think this is a 14-20 point final, so i gotta pass it. gun to my head, fsu but a pass for now.

re: penn state. i can legitmately see a 27-7 penn state final. indy is really bad. but ill probably pass that game too.

gl bud. good insight as always
