Brief comment: Like all of you, I watched every minute of the GB-SF game. Like all of you, I was amazed that Capers did not make defensive adjustments to stop Kaepernick in the second half.

The Falcons watched those tapes. They will curtail his running. He passes well enough but he won't gain more than 50-75 yards with his legs.

Falcons win outright.

This goes back to the Dallas Cowboy loss in the playoffs years ago. The Dallas QB went down and out of the game and they bring in Danny White a no name who the fuck. Danny White leads the Cowboys to victory.

It was a impossible loss to think about .

:00hour

There was no injury, Danny White was the starter the whole year. Staubach retired after the previous year. White was no HOF'er but he was comparable to Flacco, Romo, Schaub etc.

Yeh I guess your right. It was 1980 . Over 30 yrs ago a Divisional Champion game. That was the start of a long dissapointment watching the Falcons. There was a point for a long time that I bled red and black. Kinda like Jack still for his Ravens. That went away a long time ago.

"The Falcons are going to find a way to lose this game. They always have, and it seems they always will.

Atlanta has been waiting a decade or more and is losing patience."

This is not handicapping, this is opinion and you know what they say about that. Thunder wins consistently because he checks his opinions at the door and goes with math/science. This is how money is made in the investment world as well, math over punditry. Good luck Thunder, thanks for all you do.

I agree, you can take the long winded kod and rattler anti homer/homer mentality and throw them out the window today. Too much being put into the past and not what is more likely to happen in the present.
Good luck Thunder, great year.

The Falcons are the biggest underdog any No. 1 seed has ever been at any point in any postseason, and they're the biggest home underdog in a conference championship game since the playoffs expanded to 10 teams in 1978.The Falcons just beat a better team than the 49ers. Here's a score from Dec. 23: Seattle 42, San Fran 13. The nation wonders how the Falcons can possibly stop Colin Kaepernick, but last week the same everybody was wondered how the Falcons could slow the onrushing Seahawks. Russell Wilson and the Seahawks use the

This past week, the talk has concerned Kaepernick and the read-option. Seattle uses . read-option, too, and the Falcons held up against it. (Wilson didn't hurt them with designed runs; he hurt them with scrambles, but mostly he hurt them with passes.) If the Falcons keep Kaepernick in the pocket and make him throw, can he throw as precisely as Wilson did?
The guess: No. Wilson threw for 385 yards last weekend. Since becoming a starter, Kaepernick hasn't passed for more than 244 yards in any road game, and the 244 came in the lopsided loss at Seattle. Like most young quarterbacks, he's better at home than away; like most running quarterbacks, he throws best when throwing as a counterpoint, as opposed to a necessity. Atlanta has 5 games against running qbs and won 4 of those games.
San Fran is 1-2 on the road with Kaeper. His qb rating goes from 109 to 89. But this is not about Kaepernick. This about the line. San Fran pummeled the Pack -Kaeper looked unstoppable. But the Packs defensive scheme was pathetic and they made no adjustments. If this game was week 12 Atlanta would be -2.5 to 3. Atlanta was favored last week against a very simalar Seattle team. Now they are catching 4 because of perception. Atlanta is 33-6 at home under Ryan.
Alot has been made of the 0-3 play-off record. Prior to this year. Lets look at those- 2008 (ryans rookie year)- Loss to eventual nfc champs on the road zona.
2010 -PACKERS AT HOME- Pack rolled to be sbowl champ. 2011 -lost to giants -in new york-sb champs. So very skewed and really has no meaning.
If Atlanta did not go to the soft prevent in the 3rd quarter they would of killed Seattle. This is Atlanta's M-O. Smith made it clear this week that philosophy needs to change. Did I mention I am catching 4 on a home play-off team that 8-1 at home. Playing A san fran team that is 1-2 on the Road with a very young qb.

I have Atlanta favored by 3. So I am going across 3 key numbers. San fran is the second worst penalty wise on the road. Kaeper has really made some bonehead mistakes on the road(RaMS AND SEATTLE)

ATLANTA 27-23

good luck ole, i am all on board with the fighting flacco's in fact i give them a good chance to win the game, but i am against ya on the 9'ers, the falcons are awful against running qb's, the stats do not lie.
9er's will blow them out. 34-20.

come down some time and lets tie one on, we will get the band back together.
