Tomlin wants this BAD...And so does the rest of Pitt team. They are DUE !!!!

Got a feeling Tomlin he has been coming up with a game plan for weeks.

Everything points to a Patriots win and that is never good when you are betting.

You cant blitz Brady all day, he will eat you up.

Must go man to man on his WR and beat the hell out of them at the line. WHEN I SAY THAT I MEAN IT....BRUTALIZE THEM they are small and quick..bUT YOU CAN DO DAMAGE AND MESS UP TIMING WITH THE FIRST 5 YARDS!!!!!

Make Brady handoff and go deep.....Must stop the 5 yard pass that goes for 11 yrds.

You must hit Brady even if its a little late, early in the game...Take the 15 and then hit him again and again.

Rush him up the freakin middle please edge rushers just move him up in the pockets and he always finds a WR.

Pitt wins this ....I can feel it

Great points Blitz, also have to add in Dion Lewis was out for a good part of the season and I don't believe he played vs Pitt earlier @ Pitt. Blount would love to run over some Steelers!! LOL

When was last time Brady lost 2 straight AFC Championship games?

Public money split on Pitt/NE, smart money hit NE at first open, see where it goes closer to game time.

Speaking of Dion Lewis, the Pats have never lost a game with Dion Lewis in the lineup... :SIB:SIB

If I may chime in here, I have an open 13 point teaser from last week. Have 2 spots to fill.

Right now I can get get both home teams +7.5 points, and that is the way I am leaning. Going the other way and taking all of those points is pretty tempting though. I have to admit, this is a tough week for me to figure out. As Old School pointed out, there are not many options this week, as opposed to the regular season where we have many choices.

I can see both of the home teams winning in a blowout, although unlikely. But I can't see the road teams winning by more than a touchdown.

For me the 7.5 at home in the playoffs just sounds too good to pass up.

Still going to give it some thought though before I lock anything in.

This teaser is a HUGE wager for me, so I want to think about this some more.

Good discussion.

In my opinion, the best option this week is teasing Green Bay to +17.5.

There's only a couple ways this can lose:
  • Rodgers gets injured
  • Atlanta gets 2+ defensive scores
  • Green Bay's offense is unable to score on 5+ possessions

I don't see any of these happening. Atlanta +7.5 should be safe, but would you be absolutely shocked if Green Bay wins by 10? I wouldn't.

N E fumble problem......They are pretty good in turnovers only allowing 14 and forcing 26 but they rank # 30 in fumbles with 29 on the year......they had 2 last week and 2 in the first Pitt game and fumble 1.7 times a game........couple of fumbles here that don't go their way and they could lose this game

Yeah Huego I see what you are saying. Might be best to just take a ton of points in both games. I keep going back and forth on these.

The one thing now that concerns me about the Packers is their injuries. They have a bunch on D, and now no Jordy Nelson, and possibly no Davante Adams, which is huge. Who is Rodgers going to throw to? In my opinion the loss of Adams is devastating. Cobb, Janis, and Cook won't be enough jn my opinion. You need another playmaker.

Still waiting for more news on this.

The Steelers have won nine consecutive games; however, teams in the midst of a winning streak of at least nine games have gone just 2-15 ATS (11.8 percent) during the postseason. That's ample reason to fade Pittsburgh and back New England.

Do people really believe shit like this matters even a small amount? Are you really telling me had the Steelers lost in week 11 it would change your opinion of this game coming up because they would no longer have a 9 game winning streak?

I have a trend as well, the Steelers have never lost a game, EVER, on a day Donald Trump was President.

Having said that, I'm taking New England because they have a trend of being the better team.

Here is something....

Since 1997 teams who covered the division game as a DD favorite are 1-6 ATS the following game....Play against NE....

Another one....

Playoff teams who are on an ATS streak of 4 games or more as well as SU winning streak of 4 games or more & playing to a line of less than -10 are....0-11 ATS....Play against NE....

Well, with all these conflicting trends I think the outcome is now pretty clear:

New England 20
Pittsburgh 14.5

Tom Brady's last 6 games vs the Steelers goes something like this.....
average yds=315/19 TD's-0 Ints/and a QB rating of 120.

It's hard to give too much credit to the relevance of games that happened years ago when trying to predict the outcome of a future game. Players change, situations change, coaches change, talent levels change, etc....

Having said that I do find the two local (here in Pittsburgh) storylines to be amusing:

1. As proud and successful of a franchise the Steelers are, we recognize we have been Tom Brady's bitch. He's killed us. Again of those 6 games mentioned earlier it's hard to find relevance when one of those games was in 2008, but it's not a coincidence he lights us up. I think he does get up for games against Pittsburgh for whatever reason.

2. Ben needs to beat Brady on the way to a SuperBowl to cement his legacy and HOF status. BULLSHIT. Beating Brady in the playoffs isn't a requirement to get into the HOF or it's gonna be a real exclusive club going forward. Ben has the stats and has won two SuperBowls and been to a third. To argue he's not a HOFer is absurd.

I think Mark Twain said "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar". People are looking for angles and over analyzing this one. New England is simply the better team and I would say just about every bet on the board in Vegas is better than betting against Brady playing in New England.
