Wasnt gonna play these games but I had quite the day in NCAA BB earlier, so I'll give 'er a shot anyhow.
Both these games are pretty much coinflips. Homefield in the playoffs is huge, and that determines who is favored in the close ones, and tomorrow features two teams that absolutely THRIVE ON HOMEFIELD. Both are top 5 in terms of teams that play better at home, and I think thats the only reason they're favored. History has shown us that hot teams with good defense can come riding into town on this weekend and upset the higher seeded home favorite though, and I think thats exactly what we see tomorrow.
Pittsburgh +3.5
Dont feel that strongly about this game. I see alot of folks chalking up Pittsburgh's big win last week as more of a "colts failure" than a Steelers success. Wrong. Pittsburgh is 4-0 ATS and SU in its last 4 games against teams with winning records. Because of who they've beaten, I've been saying the last couple weeks that THEY were the hottest NFL team, not Washington or NE. Truth be told, they have the talent to sustain their momentum unlike the NE defense and the 'skins.
Everyone's been waiting for Jake Plummer to take a dump one of these games. Well hold your nose b/c here it comes. He was shaky at best last weekend, engineering MASTERFUL scoring drives of 4, 7, 1, 40 (pass interference call) en route to beating NE. Tomorrow his luck runs out against a better defense.
Pittsburgh 20 Denver 10
be back with other game in a little
