Yeah, STW is my 'buddy.' lol

The Democratic Congress hasn't done shit.

We definitely threw more money at Africa than ever before. That's better than nothing, but no real interest in the genocide.

As far as 'freeing' Iraq(but....it was NOT an 'Islamic' country as you say-are you kidding?) there is a long way to go on that one. Time will tell.

they`re muslims..sunni and shia....,the koran is the book they worship...i recall the stink about u.s. troops supposedly using the quran for target practice.....and they were gibbeting homo`s and stoning women for being raped during saddam`s reign.......

i don`t know what you`re using as criteria...

speaking of ole stw...i wonder what happened to him...

one can only hope that rendition is involved...

It was a secular country. It will now be a free-for-all when we leave with the Shias certaintly coming out on top.

Saddam was a bad man. No threat whatsoever to us, though. I'm glad that you're willing to sacrifice 5000 American lives and 20,000 more maimed to get him out of there.

I think a safe estimate would be another 75,000 Iraqi civilians killed and a half million wounded. Those figures are on the very low end.

Was it worth it?

Sad.

was it worth it?.....history will decide...theres no way of knowing what havoc that saddam would have wrought in the future...

who do you think would have ruled iraq in the event of saddam`s death(hint..he had two sons that were confirmed psychopaths)....

one thing we do know....they won`t be around to invade or mass murder or produce chemical weapons to pass on to terrorists wanting to do us harm.....

we now have an ally in the most crucial, strategic, volatile region in the world....where once was a sworn enemy that tried to produce nuclear weapons, paid suicide bombers and and plotted to assassinate a u.s. president ...

not to mention reneging on the agreement that saved his ass after the first gulf war.....resolution after resolution....

in saddam`s case it was 20-25 strikes and you`re finally out...

of course,we`ll never agree on this issue..and i don`t know whether it will turn out to have been the correct thing to do..just as you don`t...

i`ve said many, many times i`m still on the fence about the invasion....but i do understand the rationale for doing it...

it is what it is...

lets try something you can relate to(being a liberal and all)....

how about bush doing more for africa and africans than any president in history?....

how about freeing an entire islamic country(28,221,181 people).......freeing the majority from the yoke of a brutal minority(like south africa......trying to give examples that resonate in what passes for the liberal mind)...

no more wood chippers...no more mass graves...no more invading their neighbors...freedom for all to share in the oil revenue....

you(and stw..btw,where has your buddy been?...mission accomplished?)always cite the death count in the war....i wonder how many people this war will actually save in the long run?....

a blueprint to keep this country safe from future attacks....

the courage to take the heat and waterboard three of the most savage of the savages that would like nothing more than to kill you, your family and everyone you know....uncovering plots and leading to the capture of al qaeda leaders...

now name some things the democratic congress has done since taking control 2 years ago(when this economic mess really hit the fan)....

lol

What 'rationale?' The WMD's? The 9/11 connections? Uh, no.

At that time, don't you think we might have other interests about 9/11?

And 'we now have an ally'? Are you fucking kidding me?

Iraq is not a friend of America.

Not now and not ever.

Nah. You're too lazy or ignorant to make an original post of your own. Say thank you to GW!

What?s the point? Nothing said will be good enough for you. Call me lazy and ignorant if you will, but I am smart enough to know your hatred trumps anything I could possibly list. Good luck man, not sure what you will do with all that hate now that Bush is gone, but I have a feeling you ill find a place for it.

'Good enough?' Just some original idea would be great? Even Weasel tries his best.

I Understand.

Hatred? Please.

Let's just hope the next 8 years are better than the last.

One other reminder to all of you who keep on blowing the big criminals horn about keeping us safe. That is a question that only time will answer. I am of the belief that he created more terrorists than he killed with his criminal acts.

Time will tell if "he kept us safe" or if he killed our children.

pretty pathetic that when the president was walking out they were booing him and then singing the "hey hey hey, goodbye". shows complete lack of respect and sense of history towards the outgoing president. no suprise that those were the same "yes we can" fucks that matthews gets bone dog's while interviewing them.

matthews: "where are you from"
Raul: "atlanta georgia"
matthews: "why are you here?"
Raul: "because barack will make me rich, and will paint the roads gold and i won't have to pay taxes"
matthews: "you are my hero, you remind me of peter o'toole in lawrence of arabia"

TAKE THIS Doucebag of the AIR! he is pathetic.

i hope for the country that the Bams does well, and he learns from some of W's mistakes, but he can also learn of lot of what W did right, and although it is very hard for the loons on the way left to admit, our homeland was kept safe after 9/11. those who think for a second that they weren't trying or stopped trying, they're head is in the sand and they are drinking the olbermann kool aid.

let it go man. why u be dwelling on the 1/1000 person instead of the overwhelming positive majority?
