Chargers' metrics show why it's better to be lucky and good - Seth Walder
But have the Chargers been unlucky overall this year? It's hard to say -- plenty of teams miss plenty of field goals, and plenty of fluky occurrences happen across the league on a weekly basis -- but the answer is: probably at least a little bit. Given the level at which they've played this season, the Chargers probably ought to have a better record than they do.

Chargers DB Desmond King shows flashes of Ronde Barber - Eric Williams
?He?s by far one of the best nickel corner players probably in history,? King said. ?That?s a guy that we talk about a lot in our position room. Milus always tells me that we want you to play like Ronde Barber. He?s mastered this position.?

The Chargers are back from the brink: What are their playoff chances? - Rivers McCown
It's never easy to predict a comeback from the brink for any team that starts 0-4. Since 1989, just one team has started 0-4 and made the playoffs: the 1992 San Diego Chargers. However, if there was any team we should have seen as ready to rebound up the standings, it was this one.

Chargers' Anthony Lynn shows improvement in game management - Eric Williams
According to ESPN?s Football Power Index (FPI), the Chiefs currently have a 71-percent chance to make the playoffs and the Chargers have a 48-percent chance.

Chargers Rookie Report: CB Desmond King may already be an All-Pro - Will Reeve Jr
Through Week 14, King has amassed 52 tackles (47 solo) with six tackles for loss, six quarterback hits, four sacks and five passes defensed despite seeing ample talent originally in front of him on the team?s depth chart. The former Cyclone has also racked up six special teams tackles, demonstrating that he?s willing to do anything to help his team.

AFC West Showdown: 5 biggest storylines for Chargers vs. Chiefs - Will Reeve Jr
?Well, it is, but it isn?t. Certainly, it gives you a heck of a better chance of winning [the division] if you win this game. But if you win this game, it?s not over yet. But, it?s a big game. I think it?s important to know what?s at stake,? quarterback Philip Rivers said during media availability Wednesday.

[h=3]Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs, 8:25 p.m. ET[/h]The Chiefs have no rostered players on this week's injury report.
The Chargers had one player of significance on the practice injury report this week, but he was removed from the pregame injury report.
Players off-game status injury report
Hunter Henry, TE, Chargers, calf: In the past few weeks, Henry has been a more reliable tight end when it comes to fantasy productivity, accumulating 16 catches in his past three games and finding the end zone twice in that same time frame. Consequently, fantasy players were a bit nervous to see him listed early in the week on the practice injury report as a limited participant because of his calf. The good news is that Henry upgraded to full practice sessions both Wednesday and Thursday. His removal from the pregame injury report indicates he has been given the all-clear by the team and is expected to take the field in Kansas City on Saturday night.

The Kansas City Chiefs have seemed to get back on track with a win over division rival the Oakland Raiders at home last week. This week a red-hot Charger team looks to go one up on the defending division champs. LA has been clicking on both sides of the ball and are making a last ditch run at the division and the glory of the post-season. However, they run into Arrowhead, and the Sea of Red who will be the big factor in this game. The Chiefs continue to show why they were considered a contender at the beginning of the season with their offense able to make some big plays, despite the stellar defense of the Chargers. The defense will do just enough to fluster quarterback Phillip Rivers to cause him to make some mistakes.
