Going into this morning, I want to know why I am going to lose my 'All In' bet on the Chargers ML.

So.... can any Packers fans/bettors, tell me why I am a complete idiot for taking a -275 for my entire balance.

That way I won't be surprised.

Seriously... rip into me....

Thanks in advance..

New coach going into an environment that is going to treat this game like a mini-Superbowl. As Smurph mentioned on Monday, this is going to be the biggest game in GB in years.

The Chargers are the better team, but it's the NFL. See Bengals game last week for further details.

Anytime someone bets their entire bankroll they are risking having the idiot label put on them. If you are going to place a "bridge jumper" bets, why not at least place it on home team?

On the course!
Needing to win a game, a winning it are not the same.

Not saying SD won't cream them, but I can see the Packers getting it done.

I took a small 3 team ML parlay on:

GB/Det/Mia for $10-$250

Brett is revitalized, the D is stepping up.

Patrick Rivers isn't a guy I'd EVER risk a whole roll on. Against Favre, even less so. But gl.

There are a few reasons why I wouldn't risk it all on San Diego.....

1. They have a new Head Coach
2. They have 8 new position coaches
3. They are all learning a new offense

I think that SD will return to be an elite team but it's going to take some time.

Green Bay game plan will be......
Take away Tomlinson and Gates.........and make Rivers beat em with the what's left.

From what I've seen so far.....It won't happen today.

Packer Bettor

Packer Bettor

Coming from Wisconsin (And Proud of it) I came into the season thinkiing of a five hundred season. Now visions of playoffs are dancing in my head.

Be careful betting against the Pack for these reasons:

1) There defense is for real. A lot of speed with great corners and fast linebackers. They also rotate up to nine defensive lineman so they are always fresh late in the game.

2) Special teams is greatly improved. Mason Crosby is kicking off into the endzone and can make the long fieldgoal.

3) Besides Farve, the offense is expected to get back Greg Jennings, which will open up the pass. Farve seems to be gaining more confidence in Jones, and his big tight end Lee.

4) It is very hard to bet aginst a team that isn't playing bad and is on a roll if you include the end of last year. It would be safer to Bet on Carolina -4 or on the moneyline if you want to bet on a road team. They are playing a team that is awful and is averaging 5pts a game. Harrington os no Farve.

I am going against you on this one. Betting both with the points and on the ml. Remember never bet agaist the Fat Kid!:fit01: :Kid1:

Titty, that's kinda "homer talk" you got going.

A .500 season would still be great, IMO.

I would not be shocked at all if SD comes around today, and lights up the Pack.

I really don't know what to expect, though. As a fan......I'm hoping they keep it up!

same offense as last year. The reason they hired Norv Turner was because he implemented this offense and it was supposed to be a smooth transition.

I'm not betting this game but the biggest reason the offense looks out of sink is because they played two of the best Defenses in the NFL and they are missing their best receiver from last year Eric Parker who should be back in two weeks. Having said that Green Bay has a good Defense and this should be a close game so not touching it but if Rivers doesn't turn it over they should be able to pull this one out.

I'm concerned that SD played in NE last Sunday nite and then had to travel home, probably didn't practice on monday, and are now on the road again in GB...

that being said, I'm on SD, but that was my biggest concern
