BERNIE FRIAR (sp?) is the ref. Even if the Hornets win that was one of the worst calls EVER in any sport. This guy must be the Phil Luckett of the NBA......LOL!!!!!

The only thing I can think of is that the NBA has a rule that you can't catch and shoot in less than 0.8 of a second. I could be wrong on this, but I think that's the rule. I'm not happy about it, and I'm not watching it. That's the only explanation I can offer. The call ruins under for the game, for the second half and maybe both Charlotte plays.

The way it's going w/ less than 2 min left in OT, it'll be Charlotte & the over.

Anyway, don't know what the rule is, but heck, the announcer said at least 0.3 sec. are needed for a catch and shoot. Also, it's not like the hometown clock operators you get in college. I remember hearing a few days ago that they get neutral people to operate the clock during the playoffs.

They were in Orlando.....so even if the operator was bias, it would be toward Orlando!! I'm sure that clock was started as soon as it could have been.

Exactly my point, nighthorse. Can you imagine if an Orlando person was operating that clock? If so, maybe Baron would've had a harder time getting off that shot in time! But as it turns out, the ball was out of his hands with time to spare.

as long as there is more than 0.3 of a second you can catch and shoot...

only worse call i've ever seen was the patriots non fumble that cost the raiders

hoya....

hoya....

....or what about the infamous coin toss at the start of OT, costing the Steelers the ball. Just a bad call, though a "play" wasn't involved.

yeah that one ranks up there too...now that i think about it there are probably a bunch in the nfl that were just as bad.

i just dont understand why the refs cant go over to the table, look at the replay on the monitor and make the right call...the nba needs to seriously consider allowing that in the future.

just heard it from Peter Vescey:

Refs determined that they were NOT going to allow a catch, turnaround and shoot no matter what. What a crock of shit!!!!

THE REFS HAD ALREADY DECIDED ON THE OUTCOME OF THE PLAY BEFORE THE PLAY EVEN BEGAN!!!!!! (barring a foul) UNREAL!!!!

Where's Nolan Dalla when you need him.....outcry!!!!
