cheap rooms in Vegas?

hi
planning on Vegas from late Oct to early Nov for 2 weeks for 2 people
whats the cheapest place to stay at.?
dont wanna stay in a dive but if its cheap enough and clean enough i`ll take it.
not bothered about food,just a room that sleeps 2
what am i looking at?

Axel,

Run a search on Hotwire and expedia for the dates you want down there. A lot of the joints are going about 40-50 bucks a night with the 31st and 1st around 70/night.

I have a room at the sahara the same time you are going to be down there and am paying about 45/night for 2 people.

If you are looking for the cheap route, try the Imperial Palace. Below average casino and hotel, but the rooms aren't all that bad, super cheap, and it's in a great location on the strip.

would just turning up at LV airport and getting a cab driver to take me to a cheap motel not be a good idea? is it best to find somewhere that has a casino.
as i am travelling on my own. any advice? obv the casinos are okay. where should i avoid on my own?
i have the feeling that LV aint the sort of place to visit on your own as i`m surte there are a lot of people that a A but also alot of people that are ruthless and would see me as easy money

any advice.
coming on my own a bad idea?

Budget Suites by Stardust is real nice also. long ways away from any free internet access, but 1 block from the strip. They have very nice facilities as Fletcher sez and shuttle that will take you to malls, grocery stores, etc. $199 plus that one-time cleaning fee, tax, etc makes it $286.00 to stay there one week, but the $20 security deposit and $10 key deposit is refunded. cost more for linen and maid service. 702-732-1500.


free shuttles to Hard Rock, and Sam's Town stop by the Stardust. And those will take you to MGM and Caesar's.


nice to stay for two weeks in a suite with kitchen than a small room in casino/hotel for same price.

no offense intended Hoops , but everytime some one mentions that place I crack up!!!!!!!!!!! Personally I wouldn't send my dog there to stay!!!!!!!!

never had a problem with men or women staying at the ip that wanted a great price and even better local, still to this day have not had a problem but 1 and that was Tara don't know what happened the week she was there or day to the hotel but it fell apart i felt bad for her first room was dirty then 2nd room had black water that was the last straw fro her but hav had many people never have a problem been in the room in the front older but clean but never had a problem like i did when she was there, i still send people there and they have not ran in to thenightmare she did. a real nice place right off the strip and it is spotless and nice little sports book and they treat you like gold and rooms are big and all knew and very safe and nice pool is terribles herberst hotel and casino you won't beat their price . just a 4 min cab ride to the main strip or a 10 min walk 5 mins from the hard rock.

yes T had a bad time i must say at the ip but she is the first and my last and i have had at least 40 people stay there. not small at all it is very good size but older. they have everything you need inside and right in the heart of the strip i still send people there all the time who want nice price and great and safe ,clean local she just had a bad time and she was in the right and i understand why she would never go back i would not either if i had the problems she had but that is very rare in the time of the big mega resorts they rank right up in roomocc rate each week about 92.3% which is great and it is not like your talking about 100 rooms i think they have at least 1800 as a guess right off the top of my head could be off but my point is it is a good size place that is sold out almost everyweek 92.3 % they are doing something right. but just not the day she was there.
