I avoided the temptation at -127, last night.
Down to -110, I've gotta try this one.
D'BACKS (Johnson) over cubs (Zambrano) -110 1.1/1
--Cubs hitting .289 on year but just .234 vs lefties (only 1 HR...fairly low AB's, mind you) - Covers says Cubs hitting .193 vs lefties, but I'll take the word of MLB.com over covers on this one
--Zambrano stellar so far, but he has had some trouble vs left-handed batters, which the D'Backs possess
--Unit wasn't altogether lost in his last start, as 11 K's attests; as a veteren, I believe that he has the ability to make adjustments as needed...time will tell
--D'Backs stay home, while Cubbies travelled to Arizona after yesterday's game in Chicago...small factor, maybe, but favors D'Backs
--D'Backs broke out offensively yesterday, and against another quality righty in Brian Lawrence (no, he hasn't had the start that Zambrano has had, but his stuff is good)
--Cubs pen--brilliant last year--has an ERA of 5.23 in '04, having given up 8 HR's in 51 2/3 IP (CONTRA here--D'Backs pen with 7.20, and 9 in 60 IP)
Gotta try the big guy for this price.
