agree w/Kickserves parameters 100 %, went once in my life when I was a boy w/a couple of Uncles, got "lucky" on my first trip and got a buck, we cleaned and ate it, found it to be an empty ,hollow experience....never have done it since. Most of the hunters I know are responsible individuals and do stay within the mentioned parameters, so no knock to them or 6/5. The yahoos on this video or those who spend 20 min. in a tree stand beside a fkn feed patch, should get dropped off in the North End, Charlestown or South Boston w/ a Lakers shirt w/a fkn flourescent bullseye on it at 3 a.m. so they really experience the thrill of the "hunt", those fkn feed patches are like Rt. 93 in Boston at 7:30 a. m. on a Monday morning, real test of prowess. Those MOOKS are right the fuk up their w/the sackless knts who fight their "dogs" and train em by chaining a lab, or similar breed to a pole or wall and teach/test dogs gameness. I have personally seen a couple of these dogs, 1 dead, 1 alive never been angrier.... in the second case the knt who did it, was on the corner started yelling to some shit and was "posing" for his crew, he shit his fkn pants when I let my cane corso out of the work truck, identified the threat and let him go...knt made it to the courts (fenced hoops), 'blue' got himself a cap for a trophy, not enough evidence to prosecute and the 'bait dog' had to be put down, never seen as much fear or hurt in a human or animals eyes since, hopefully never will.

My old general foreman had said he had saved up quite a while to go on his African Safari. He paid over 10K to do so, I think. Brought back lots of pictures of gazelles, zebras, and a couple of wild cats. He posed with each one of his kills. The pictures were really neat. But, to me, that's not hunting. Having a guide to show you around an strange land is one thing, but he was in a fenced in "reserve" made especially for yuppy big game hunters. That's not exciting. That's like really comparing it to "shooting fish in a barrell." I will have no problems teaching my son and daughter how to hunt when they get older. They're chasing squirells now when we go to the park. Later on they'll learn how to shoot 'em, skin 'em, wrap some bacon on 'em, and grill 'em. Mmmmmmmm!! Now that's good eatin'.

WOW SixFive you sure hit a nerve with some of these guys. I was raised on a farm and I guess many of the rural/farm boys are desensitized to this somewhat. However I was shocked and disappointed to see this clip show someone who is supposed to be a hunter (they are obviously not worthy of that title) take a compromised shot at any wild game, let alone a Dangerous species. They shot and wounded this animal initially with that first shot. This wounded lion then attacked after it was in fact trying to avoid contact with the humans. (At least it looked like that to me) They deserved to be charged and they were very lucky to escape with no more injuries than apparent in the video. I was also shocked to see the shot selection that compromised I felt the safety of other people in the hunting party.

I was raised by a family where the entire family hunted. All of my uncles and my father and the men of my mother's family. They were from the era of the depression where the food they hunted ended up on the table for a much needed meal. My father trapped rabbits in a trap called a rabbit gum. They were caught live and then slaughtered just the same as your OUTBACK 20 oz T-bone or the Quarter pounder you get at McDonalds.
We always consumed the game animals we hunted and killed. Pheasant, quail, duck, rabbit, squirrel, deer, dove, etc. I was instructed in the use of firearms at an early age(14) but not so early that I did not have a healthy respect for the same. The varmints and nuisance animals on the farm, were killed to eliminate the damage they did to crops, feed, and farm animals.

Bottom line I a hunter of 35 years neither agree with the actions of those in this film clip nor the far fetched belief that all hunting is wrong. I personally would hunt black bear if they remain in abundance in most of their natural territory, however I would never hunt a polar bear an animal that is endangered to a certain extent.

Hunting takes a certain skill and preparation to properly do. It also requires enought respect for the species you hunt to utilize a proper shot that will cleanly and humanely kill that animal with the first shot.

Like it or not most states enjoy a strong revenue base from hunter fees, taxes on sales of ammo and firearms, gasoline taxes spent driving to hunting areas, hunters apparrel, etc. This state (Ohio) also reaps a strong fee income from state owned shooting facilities. To hunt an animal in an enclosed pay for preserve is not my cup of tea either, however it is a business that exists due to the law of supply and demand and I don't engage in that nor have I ever.

The deer in the state of Ohio have 2, maybe 3 predators to keep the population in check. A, the hunters, B maybe coyotes stalk the fawns, C the rest of you guys here in your Honda Accord or your wife and kids in the mini-van. The other option is over-population and disease, the like of the sick raccoons we had 2-3 years back when fur prices got so low no one would trap them and skin them for the pelt. So disease thinned them instead.

I could go on but I think my viewpoint has been expressed.

Among Libtards!!
that video is flat out pathetic....I couldn't watch it after I knew these morons were going to kill this lion. Never understood why someone would want to kill animals who are doing nothing except minding their own way of life in the wild....have never had much respect or liking for hunters. I wish it were legal to hunt hunters....I'd get involved in that....I'd love to take some of those pussy motherphuckers out.....great big men with their guns shooting a defenseless animal....congrats on your great accomplishment there guys...you are too cool!! :thefinger

I was home on my parents' dialup for the last week and never viewed this until today. Very sick.

I grew up in rural northern Wisconsin, and I remember being made fun of in a HS ag class I had because I was the only guy out of 23 in the class who didn't hunt. I tried with my friends once but just couldn't bring myself to kill an innocent, defenseless creature. That being said, I realize it's needed b/c of the accidents they cause and the lack of feeding they get (I think it's called something like black tongue disease or something like that).

But this shit with the lions is just sick and twisted. I saw a video file of a guy who got out of his car to film a lion and ended up getting killed and eaten by two lions while his family watched on in horror. I tried to find a link to it, but it was 2 years ago that I had that on my computer, but I feel a little less bad thinking about that after seeing this video.
