Double...I learned long ago that Duff indeed knows how to read, he just doesn't know how to comprehend.

I made a point to explain my comment but, anything that doesn't contain vulgar language pretty much flies over his head unless his mother reads and explains it to him.

All anyone has to do is read the two articles posted here to know that there is a problem. Taking guns away from law abiding registered gun owners won't solve it. Putting everyone in jail with a mandatory minimum who is carrying a gun without registration will put a dent in the problem.

And you can make room in the jails for these truly dangerous people by not locking up people for minor drug violations. That seems like a fair trade-off doesn't it?

Duff...you don't have to answer as I think you are probably still curled up in the fetal position asking for your mommy after Double called you out on your avatar. Classic!

So, these shootings do not happen if Chicago had no restrictions on handguns? You guys really have a firm grasp on reality.

How many of those shootings were gang related or typical inner city homicides versus a fat, bald, white guy being shot dead walking out of Quiznos?

You really can't fix stupid.
These posts should include disclaimers that 4th grade reading level is a prerequisite.

Why do so many have to assume, jump to a conclusion and become accusatory rather than taking things at face value.

If i post an article about games won by teams rushing for over 100 yards, does that mean i think teams will not win if they do not run for over 100 yards? :shrug:

What gets lost in good posts like this is the reality that mainstream media and politicians ignore or will not address the core issues surrounding the majority of gun crime and to the contrary will make a mountain out of a mole hill with, in the grand scheme of things, isolated - smaller events.
Trayvon Martin etc. etc..

So....literate whites don't commit mass murder with military-style weapons?

Newtown, 26 dead, killer: literate, white
Oak Creek, WI, 6 killed, killer: literate, white
Aurora, Co. 12 kiilled, 58 wounded, killer: iterate, white.
Oakland, 7 dead, killer: literate, white.
Tucson, 6 dead, killer: literate, white.

That's just a few. Of all the mass murders in the USA, virtually every one involved a literate, white killer.

So, what the fuck is your point about Australia? That they have fewer mass killings because they have fewer minorities?

So, genius, how many mass murders in recent USA history have been committed by non-whites? Name a few for us.

And in England, where gun laws are tough, how many gun deaths per year? 200. Ad they have lots of minorities.

And in France, which has tough gun laws, and lots of minorities, how many gun killings? 2000.

And in the USA? 40,000.

I was pointing out that there is no correlation, and the only reason you'd point to this story is if you believed there is one. There are not more shootings because they have stricter gun laws, they enacted stricter gun laws because there are too many shootings. The whole point of this story is to say "see, look! when the bad guys have guns and the good guys don't the bad guys go on killing sprees." It's BS and you know it.
