Stiff wind blowing straight out to center at Wrigley today. Balls were flying out during batting practice. Wind gusts 25 this past hour. Just a heads up.

This would have been a perfect day for one of my All-Time Favorites Dave Kingman. He was "Pure Power" without the "Juice" & hit some of the longest home runs ever recorded. No telling how far he could hit one today with this wind!!!:yup

I remember watching this game back in 1979. A windy day, and Kingman hits 3 out, including one estimated at over 600'. Cubs lost 23-22. Check out the box score above.

Game lasted so long it was still going on when i got home from school. Thought Mike Schmidt hit more than 2 in the game, but the box score tells me otherwise...:0074
